Abstract: A gold conductor composition comprising by weight, basis total inorganic solids, finely divided particles of 75-95% metallic gold at least 90% by weight of which gold particle have an aspect ratio of no greater than 2, 0.5-10% cadmium borosilicate glass, 0.1-5% spinel-forming divalent metal oxide selected from the group consisting of CuO, ZnO, MgO, CoO, NiO, FeO, MnO and mixtures thereof, and 0.1-1.0% metal selected from the group consisting of palladium, platinum and rhodium, all of the foregoing particles being dispersed in an organic medium. This composition is useful in electronic packaging for forming conductor patterns on ceramic-based substrates, particularly patterns on which metallic components are bonded by brazing.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for capturing digital radiographic images. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method and associated apparatus for reading varying electrical charges representing a latent radiographic image stored in a unique microcapacitor matrix structure to obtain an electrical signal representing a radiogram. The microcapacitor matrix structure or element comprises a first, electrically conductive, backing layer, a second photoconductive layer, a third dielectric layer and a plurality of conductive microplates having dimensions coextensive with a minimum resolvable picture element.
Abstract: A catheter attachment device comprises a first pad of medical grade adhesive having one surface covered by a removable protective layer, a second surface covered by a plastics film, and, attached to the film, a second pad of medical grade adhesive. A surface of this second pad which faces away from the first pad is covered by a removable protective layer and has a plastics film on its other surface. The two plastics films are attached to each other over a central region substantially smaller in area than the areas of both the first and second pads.
Abstract: A broadband phase shifter and vector modulator includes two artificial transmission lines interconnected by FETs to selectively produce and sum incremental phase shifts of an input signal. A number of low pass filter sections are connected in series to form the first of the two artificial transmission lines and a number of high pass filter sections are connected in series to form the second artificial transmission line. Use of low pass and high pass filters equalizes transit times of each phasor through the phase shifter so as to maintain the proper phase relationship between the phasors over a broad bandwidth. Each of the two artificial transmission lines are coupled to a transistor circuit connecting corresponding low and high pass filter sections. The phase shifter operates by selectively summing the output variable-amplitude phase-shifted signals generated within the transmission lines to produce an output signal having a phase shift between 0.degree. and 360.degree..
Abstract: This invention relates to organic optical waveguide devices which have improved barrier properties after having been coated with silicon monoxide, and then with silicon dioxide doped with certain metals.
Abstract: An annular mounting member is bonded to the pouch wall to define a vent opening. The mounting member is made of material which is compatible with the pouch film and has a smooth exterior surface adapted to facilitate removable mounting of an adhesive coated element in alignment with the opening.
