Abstract: High quality polyamides are prepared from a mixture of an omega-aminonitrile, an oxygenated phosphorous catalyst, and water. When the reactor temperature reaches about 200 degrees to about 260 degrees C. continuously adding water, and continuously removing water vapor and ammonia until 15 to 75 grams of water have been added per 100 grams of omega-aminonitile, and then stopping the water addition and continuing the reaction until a high molecular weight polyamide is obtained.
Abstract: A tape drive system for the weft gripper of a shuttleless loom which uses a plastically undeformable tape formed of composite laminate layers containing rigid fibers. The tape is driven by a sprocket engaging perforations provided along the tape and the engagement is being ensured by two shoulder blocks. Additionally the tape is provided with a permanent magnet at that end carrying said weft gripper cooperating with a metal plate extending along the whole or at least part of a tape travel track.

Abstract: Novel thromboxane receptor antagonists are disclosed, having the formula ##STR1## wherein: A is aryl, optionally substituted withhalogen, lower alkoxy, carboalkoxy, lower alkyl, alkylamino, orphenyl;R.sub.1 is COOH, COO--alkali metal (such as Na, K, or Li), COO--lower alkyl, CONHSO.sub.2 R.sub.2, or 5-tetrazolyl;R.sub.2 is lower alkyl or aryl;m is 0, 1, or 2; andp is 2, 3, 4, or 5.Also disclosed are novel intermediates of formula I compounds.
Abstract: A movable support (5) provided at its botton surface with a pad (19) made of antifriction material and slidable on a lapped reference surface (2).The movable support includes discharging jacks (8) which bear indirectly against the frame. The effort corresponding to the sum of the independent efforts of each jack must be lower than the effort exerted by the weight of the movable support and of its optional accessories, so as to minimize the difference between the sliding effort at the beginning and the friction effort of displacement in any direction on one plane and so as to limit, in the displacement referential X,Y,Z, the deviations of the geometrical positions of a sensor or of a tool. A motor (26) and a particular reducer drive the movable support in a translation direction X. There is provided a second drive unit for a translation in the direction Y.By using as an accessory a micrometric displacement table and a follower, it is possible to take tridimensional profilometric measurements.

Abstract: Membranes such as fluorine-containing cation exchange membranes are wrapped on a roll for shipment, without using adhesive to fasten the membrane to the core or to itself at the end of the wrap. Instead, paper is taped to the core and interleaved with the membrane. At the end of the wrap, paper is again interleaved with the membrane and the paper is taped to itself.
Abstract: Homo- and copolymers of 3-perfluoroalkyl-1,2-epoxypropane having a number average molecular weight between about 650 and 5000, preferably 1000 to 3000, are prepared by polymerizing 3-perfluoroalkyl-1,2-epoxypropane in the presence of an acidic catalyst and preferably a molecular weight controlling agent.
Abstract: A connector assembly, in particular for use in an electrically adjustable shock absorber of the type comprising a cylindrical housing in which shock-absorbing means and electrical control means are accommodated. The connector assembly comprises a connector having an elongated supporting element of electrically insulating material to be accommodated in the cylindrical housing. At a first end of the supporting element contact elements and positioning means, comprising an approximately T-shaped polarization lobe projecting outwards in the lengthwise direction of the supporting element, for contacting a further connector are situated. From the first end past the second end of the supporting element eletrical conductors, preferably contact tracks on a flexible film connected to the contact elements, extend for connection of the electrical control means.
Abstract: A pallet is formed from at least two sections which are releasably locked together through mating knuckles on adjoining sections to provide a rigid integrated platform.
Abstract: A connector comprises, a housing having at least one open side surface, a plurality of contact end portions alternately arranged at a first position which is spaced away from the opening by a predetermined distance along a first surface perpendicular to the open side surface in the housing, and is close to a surface opposite the first said surface, and at a second position closer to the opening than the first position by a predetermined distance and shifted to the first side surface, and a slider having a structure which can be fitted in the housing to clamp a cable inserted forwards the first side surface in said housing for electrical connection with the contact end portion in the housing, the slider having an indentation at a distal end portion.
