  • Patent number: 4931782
Abstract: A touch screen overlay for use on the viewing surface of a visual display device formed from a flexible membrane laminate having improved conductor durability. The flexible laminate comprises first and second flexible substrates formed of transparent polyester material. An array of parallel transparent conductors is deposited on a surface of each flexible substrate. The two flexible substrates are joined together by an adhesive sheet of polyester material. The substrates are joined so that transparent conductors are deposited on the surface of each flexible substrate which faces away from the viewing surface when the overlay is attached to the visual display device. The two arrays, when so superimposed, form a grid-like pattern, separated by the thickness of the upper one of the flexible substrates and the adhesive sheet. A third flexible substrate also formed of polyester material covers the surface of the upper one of the other flexible substrates carrying the upper array of parallel conductors.

  • Patent number: 4931795
Abstract: A D to A converter comprising a series of stages each including a current mirror having an input and an output transistor (Q1 and Q3) and a current adjusting transistor (Q2, Q4) connected in parallel with each input and output transistor for adjusting the output current from the current mirror as a function of the operating states of the current adjusting transistors. The operating state of each current adjusting transistor is controlled by a digital signal applied to a switch (Q2S, Q2S') connected to the gate of each current adjusting transistor. Each stage also includes a control circuit (Q1C, Q3C) for maintaining equal the drain voltages of its input and output transistors whereby the current changes introduced in the output current of the converter stage are functions of the relative geometric sizes of the input, output and current adjusting transistors comprising the converter stage.

  • Patent number: 4930853
Abstract: An electrooptic deflector composed of a plate made of a material with a refractive index which can be modified by the application of an electrical field, whereinto a collimated optical beam can be injected in direction parallel to the electrodes deposited on a plate face. Said electrodes are parallel to one another, equally-spaced and separately connected to voltage sources apt to increase the refractive index in the material passing from an electrode to the next. The emerging optical beam is deflected in the direction wherein the refractive index increases.

  • Patent number: 4931045
Abstract: A two-part ostomy coupling has a first part which is a flat annulus having inner and outer peripheral walls. With the annulus these walls define a shallow channel. The coupling has a second part formed by a second flat annulus with radially inner and outer rims formed by respective flexible peripheral elements of plastics material. The first and second parts are constructed so that the second part is a push fit into the shallow channel defined by the first part. An annular member having a flexible resilient strip extending inwardly from its radially inner edge and an element extending from its radially outer edge which can engage under a rim portion of the said outer peripheral wall. Alternatively, the second part may be an annular member having a flexible resilient strip extending outwardly from its radially outer edge and an element extending from its radially inner edge which can engage under a rim portion of the said inner peripheral wall.

  • Patent number: 4930912
Abstract: Apparatus for movably supporting an object to be marked which includes a fixed member with a table assembly movable reciprocally on the fixed member. The object to be marked is secured to a surface of the table. A marking device is supported on a U-shaped support member and a guide means is movably secured to the support member with the marking device pivotally mounted thereon. A first driving means moves the marking device linearly relative to the fixed member to apply a mark on the object and a second driving means moves the table relative to the fixed member to position the marking device. The support member is mounted either vertically or horizontally so that it can mark a vertical surface or a horizontal surface on the object.
