Abstract: ?-Olefins are made in a modified plug flow reactor system by the oligomerization of ethylene using an iron complex of a selected diimine of a 2,6-pyridinecarboxaldehyde(bisimine) or 2,6-diacylpyridine(bisimine) as the oligomerization catalyst. The reactor is modified to add the iron complex at two or more points along the length of the plug flow reactor, the distance between addition points being dependent on the half-life of the active ethylene oligomerization catalyst.

Abstract: In a lithographic system, data transmission is carried out by means of a powerful electro-optical free-beam connection system enabling optical pattern data to be guided from light exit places to light entrance places inside the vacuum chamber by means of free-space optical beams in order to produce control signals. The burden on the pattern production system is significantly reduced by the disappearance of mechanical and electrical contacts. The paths of the free-space optical beams and the particle beams can intersect each other in a non-influential manner. Active photodiodes acting as light exit places can be spatially disposed directly in the pattern production system. Passive light waveguides which can be bundled together to form multipolar fibre array plugs, or active transmission lasers, either of which can also act as light exit places, can be arranged outside the vacuum chamber.

Abstract: The invention relates to a sun protection device that has a plurality of segments that are spaced apart from one another parallel to their longitudinal direction and that are received so as to be rotatable about their longitudinal axis. The segments have respective segment top surfaces on which a plurality of optical concentrator structure elements from an at least partially transparent dielectric material, so-called CPCs (Compound Parabolic Concentrators) are provided. Said concentrators have a surface of incidence and one planar or curved receiving surface and are oriented with their receiving surface toward the segment top surface. The invention is characterized in that the segment top surface, at an angle to its longitudinal direction, is at least partially curved or edged, the segment top surface is reflecting or opaque, and the CPCs adjoin the segment top surface with their receiving surface directly or across at least one coupling layer or are spaced apart and disposed opposite the segment top surface.
