  • Patent number: 7047211
Abstract: An inventive procurement system includes a requisition system for special item purchases that are not found when searching a catalog database. Using the requisition system the buyer is provided with the desired item while the information associated with the requisition is selectively added to a rule-based knowledge base as well as to an item database. In a preferred embodiment a common language generator has been used to normalize free form data using pre-determined rules to place the data into a class/attribute/value relationship. By having the item requisition follow the same relationship, the pre-determined rules may be updated and the free-form data associated with the item properly coded for inclusion into an item database.

  • Publication number: 20060100412
Abstract: The invention relates to phenol urea/melamine formaldehyde copolymers which can be obtained through the condensation of an aqueous precondensate of phenol and/or phenol derivatives with an aqueous precondensate of urea and/or urea derivatives and/or melamine and/or melamine derivatives and formaldehyde in the presence of an anionic ion exchanger and a cationic ion exchanger. Thereby in the first step urea and phenol are reacted with formaldehyde in separate reactions. The reaction is regulated by time, pH value and temperature such that only methylol ureas or methylol phenols are formed. In the next step the two reaction mixtures are combined and come into contact with the immobilized ion exchanger (which can also be used catalytically).

  • Patent number: 7040750
Abstract: The present invention discloses a unique and novel system for attaching an auxiliary lens assembly to a primary lens assembly in which the attachment includes two alternative positions, a lowered position and a raised position. In the lower position, the person wearing the eyewear system views through both the primary lenses and auxiliary lenses. In the raised position, the person wearing the eyewear system views only through the primary lenses. As a further option, the auxiliary lens assembly is easily removable from the primary lens assembly, allowing for separate storage of the auxiliary lens assembly when not needed. Slotted extensions on the primary lens frame receive retainers attached to auxiliary extensions on the auxiliary lens assembly. Each auxiliary extension has a rocker pivotally attached to a keyseat. An internal spring urges the rocker into snap alignment with the surfaces of the keyseat.
