  • Patent number: 9409267
Abstract: A bushing adapted to secure an O-ring seal in position relative to an area of a passage permitting reciprocation of a push rod forms a generally circular bushing body with opposed end faces. The end faces are separated by a gap so as to provide the bushing with an approximately C-shaped structure. The bushing includes a plurality of locking elements resistant to axial loads imposed on the bushing by the push rod disposed at least substantially within a corresponding plurality of recesses distributed around a circumferential exterior of the bushing. Solid ribs are interspersed with the locking fingers to resist radial loads imposed on the bushing by the push rod during operation. The O-ring seal is secured in position within the passage area of the passage by an end surface of the bushing.

  • Publication number: 20160227192
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing a pair of 2-D images are described. In one example, a stereoscopic set of images is converted into a collection of regions that represent individual 3-D objects in the pair of images. In one embodiment, the system recovers the 3-D point P for each point p that appears in both images. It estimates the 3-D orientation of the floor plane, and the image capture planes and their height from the floor. The system then identifies the collection B of points P that do not represent points on the floor and generates a projection C of B onto a plane parallel to the floor. It blurs the projection C and identifies peaks in the blurred image, then fits symmetric figures to the points in C around the identified peaks. The system projects the 3-D figures associated with the symmetric figures back onto the 2-D images.

  • Publication number: 20160220394
Abstract: An inductive wireless power transfer and communication system includes an electrostatic shield for one of the coils. The electrostatic shield is inductively coupled with the coil and is configured as an open circuit. A signal processing element or elements, especially a modulator or a demodulator, are connected across the electrical discontinuity in the electrostatic shield. Because the electrostatic shield is inductively coupled to the coil, the modulator or demodulator can operate on the signal on the coil. A variable impedance element is connected across the electrical discontinuity in the electrostatic shield. Because the electrostatic shield is inductively coupled to the coil, the variable impedance element can tune the impedance of the system.
