  • Patent number: 9416352
Abstract: A DNA polymerase (Neq DNA polymerase) derived from Nanoarchaeum equitans is split into Neq L and Neq S fragments, each of which contains inteins. A Neq hot-start (HS) DNA polymerase in which the inteins of the Neq L and Neq S fragments are linked with each other is provided in the form of a precursor of Neq DNA polymerase. A purification method can be significantly improved by inserting a His-tag sequence composed of six histidine residues between the inteins of the Neq L and Neq S fragments at a gene level. As a result of effort to enhance PCR efficiency of the Neq HS DNA polymerase, a gene coding for the Neq HS DNA polymerase is mutated at specific positions to screen mutant Neq HS polymerases (M1, M2, and M3) having a highly improved PCR amplification rate and amplification level.

  • Patent number: 9418402
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for providing an image having visibility which is improved by removing fog or smoke from an image of which the quality is reduced due to the fog or the smoke. To this end, the present invention provides an estimation model used for obtaining, from an input image, an image from which the fog is removed, calculates a transmission rate indicating a ratio by which the fog is included in the original image by using the estimation model, and obtains an image of which the fog is removed using the calculated transmission rate. The method proposed in the present invention does not commonly use a filter and only uses calculation of a pixel unit, so that a back lighting effect is not generated, real time processing is possible due to a small amount of calculation, and a good image is obtained even by performing a process using only a luminance image.

  • Publication number: 20160234007
Abstract: A clock and data recovery circuit is disclosed herein. The clock and data recovery circuit includes a phase detection unit, a charge pump, a loop filter, a voltage control oscillator, and a frequency detection unit. The voltage control oscillator has oscillation frequency that is variable in response to a frequency adjustment signal, and outputs an oscillation signal. The frequency detection unit includes a reference clock divider, a counter, and an oscillation frequency control unit. The reference clock divider generates a count-enable signal based on a reference clock signal. The counter generates an oscillation count signal by counting the pulses of the oscillation signal of the voltage control oscillator or the pulses of divided signals resulting from dividing the oscillation signal while the count-enable signal is being enabled. The oscillation frequency control unit compares a target count value with the value of the oscillation count signal, and outputs the frequency adjustment signal.

  • Publication number: 20160231489
Abstract: A phase converting device capable of use over a broad wavelength range, which may be used for optical beam transformations and combining, conversion of resonator and waveguide modes, correction of aberrations in optical systems, and selection of photons with specific phase profile. This provides significant advantages in high power laser systems. Large-mode-area fibers can be used to provide higher incident powers than can be achieved by single-mode fibers, reducing the number of elements in a system necessary to achieve the desired output. The profiles of these LMA fiber modes can then be converted from the undesired modes into the desired mode while combing their total power into a single beam.
