Abstract: This disclosure details the implementation of apparatuses, methods and systems for audio processing and transmission. Some implementations of the system are configured to provide a method for encoding an arbitrary number of audio source signals using only a small amount of (transmitted or stored) information, while facilitating high-quality audio playback at the decoder side. Some implementations may be configured to implement, a parametric model for retaining the essential information of each source signal (side information). After the side information is extracted, the remaining information for all source signals may be summed to create a reference signal from which noise information for the original source signals may be reconstructed. The reference signal and the side information form the new collection of information to be transmitted or stored for subsequent decoding.

Abstract: A resistive memory sensing method includes sensing outputs of an offset-cancelling dual stage sensing circuit (OCDS-SC) by an NMOS offset-cancelling current latched sense amplifier circuit (NOC-CLSA). The NOC-CLSA is configured with a reduced input capacitance and a reduced offset voltage. Input transistors of the NOC-CLSA are coupled between latch circuitry and ground. A first phase output of the OCDS-SC is stored by the NOC-CLSA during a pre-charge step of the NOC-CLSA operation. A second phase output of the OCDS-SC is stored by the NOC-CLSA during an offset-cancelling step of the NOC-CLSA operation. By pipelining the OCDS-SC and NOC-CLSA, a sensing delay penalty of the OCDS-SC is overcome.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for combining or separating spectral components by means of a polychromat. A polychromat is employed to combine a plurality of beams, each derived from a separate source, into a single output beam, thereby providing for definition of one or more of the intensity, color, color uniformity, divergence angle, degree of collimation, polarization, focus, or beam waist of the output beam. The combination of sources and polychromat may serve as an enhanced-privacy display and to multiplex signals of multiple spectral components. In other embodiments of the invention, a polychromat serves to disperse spectral components for spectroscopic or de-multiplexing applications.

Abstract: A system and method for reducing image noise and artifacts in coronary computed tomography angiography includes acquisition of CT images at multiplicity of CT slices arranged in such a fashion throughout the phases of the cardiac cycle as to utilize the majority of the X-ray radiation to which the myocardium exposed during the cycle. The acquired imaging data is processed with the use of a TAF filter to reduce the amount of noise and artifacts associated with the CT's system operating at low tube current. The TAF filter is configured to adapt the filtering strength in time domain according to temporal variations of the same anatomical location as identified in its corresponding CT slices.
