Abstract: A method for photogrammetric texture mapping using casual images is provided. The method may include the following steps: estimating, for each vertex of at least a portion of a three dimensional (3D) mesh representing a model, projection parameters associated with a virtual camera that is unique for each vertex; mapping pixels from a two dimensional (2D) image to the vertices, such that each mapping of a pixel is based on the estimated respective virtual camera parameters; and texturing the portion of the mesh with corresponding mapped pixels wherein vertices on the textured portion are selected such that they are visible from a specified viewpoint associated with the 3D mesh.

Abstract: A diagnosis-and-display integrated optical tomographic imaging otoscope for examining otitis media. A hollow casing includes an ear specular disposed on a front surface, a display including an LCD disposed on a rear surface, and a manipulating handle on a lower part. An image-photographing part includes a CCD camera inside the casing, and photographs an ear drum image of a patient through the ear specular. A section-photographing part includes a collimator and a galvanometer mirror inside the casing, and photographs section images of the ear drum and a middle ear of the patient. The ear drum image obtained by the image-photographing part and the section images of the ear drum and the middle ear are obtained in a non-incision method by the section-photographing part, and are displayed in real time on the LCD such that desirable images can be stored.

Abstract: Provided are a white-emitting monomolecular compound using excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) characteristics, and an organic electroluminescence device and a laser device comprising same. The white-emitting monomolecular compound according to the present invention is prepared by covalently bonding at least two types of molecules which produce different colors and have excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) characteristics. The white-emitting monomolecular compound according to the present invention achieves white luminescence irrespective of the concentration thereof and of the state of the materials thereof, and therefore can be used in a variety of fields including an organic electroluminescence device and a laser device.
Abstract: Provided herein are compositions comprising purified antibodies and fragments thereof that are specifically immunoreactive to only human leukocyte antigen E (HLA-E) but not to other HLA Ia and HLA-Ib alleles. Also provided are methods of their making and diagnostic and therapeutic applications. The monospecific HLA-E antibodies are highly specific and can be used for diagnosing or localizing the presence of HLA-E on normal or diseased cells or tissues. The monospecific HLA-E antibodies can also be used for cancer therapies, likely through regulation of the CD94/NKG2a on Cytotoxic and/or Natural Killer T cells.

Abstract: Location-mapped environments that provide panoramic and immersive views of street scenes are augmented with modern data visualization displays, to communicate additional information of interest. Specifically, illumination statistics information is mapped onto building facades in the location-mapped environments. The illumination statistics information can include variations of illumination as a function of time of a day and as a function of the season. The illumination statistics information can also include direct illumination statistics information and indirect illumination statistics information. Further, the illumination statistics can be calculated for any window on a building façade to determine natural lighting through that window. The illumination statistics can be employed, for example, to aid users in selection of real estate properties for rental or purchase.

Abstract: A method of detecting a compromised machine on a network. The method receives an email message from a machine on the network and classifies it as either spam or non-spam. A probability ratio is then updated, according to whether the message was spam or non-spam, by applying a sequential probability ratio test. If the probability ratio is greater than or equal to a first threshold, then the machine is compromised. If the probability ratio is less than or equal to a second threshold, then the machine is normal. The operations of receiving a message, classifying the message, updating the probability ratio, and indicating the machine is normal or compromised until the probability ratio is greater than or equal to the first threshold are repeated for a plurality of messages. Such repeated operations are performed on each of the messages one at a time, as each of the messages is received.

Abstract: The present invention describes a method for identifying one or more of a plurality of sequences differing by one or more single base changes, insertions, deletions, or translocations in a plurality of target nucleotide sequences. The method includes a ligation phase, a capture phase, and a detection phase. The ligation phase utilizes a ligation detection reaction between one oligonucleotide probe, which has a target sequence-specific portion and an addressable array-specific portion, and a second oligonucleotide probe, having a target sequence-specific portion and a detectable label. After the ligation phase, the capture phase is carried out by hybridizing the ligated oligonucleotide probes to a solid support with an array of immobilized capture oligonucleotides at least some of which are complementary to the addressable array-specific portion. Following completion of the capture phase, a detection phase is carried out to detect the labels of ligated oligonucleotide probes hybridized to the solid support.
