  • Publication number: 20090225498
Abstract: The present invention provides an asymmetric hybrid capacitor, in which metal oxide containing lithium and capable of producing lithium ions by an electrochemical reaction and supplying the lithium ions in an electrolyte in the capacitor is used as a positive electrode active material, and metal oxide capable of accepting the lithium ions supplied through the electrolyte is used as a negative electrode active material, such that the lithium ions of the same participate in the electrochemical reactions at both electrodes. As a result, it is possible to minimize reduction in ionic conductivity during charge/discharge, compared with conventional asymmetric hybrid capacitors, in which metal oxide and a carbon material are used as electrode materials, respectively. Moreover, since metal oxide having high specific capacitance is used to form both electrodes, it is possible to maximize energy density and power density.

  • Patent number: 7587172
Abstract: The present invention provides the multiuser Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems with a feedback method which includes measuring, at the terminal, received Signal to Noise Ratios (SNRs) for all transmit antennas, selecting one of precoding matrixes, which has best SNRs, retrieving an index mapped to the selected preceding matrix from a predetermined mapping table, and transmitting the index with the SNRs of the selected precoding matrix. In the present invention, it is possible to reduce feedback information amount without degradation of the sum rate performance of the system since the feedback information is transmitted in a form of index implying appropriate precoding matrix and corresponding SNRs.

  • Patent number: 7585498
Abstract: The present invention relates to recombinant Adenoviruses (Ad) which function as helper viruses to gutted Ad viruses lacking viral coding sequences. The recombinant Ad of the present invention comprise a binding site of the E. coli Lac repressor protein embedded within the packaging domain. Available Lac repressor protein binds to its operator site within the helper virus packaging domain, precluding the binding of natural packaging factors. The present invention also provides recombinant Ad which in addition to having a binding site for the Lac repressor protein within the packaging domain, also comprise coding sequence for the Lac repressor protein under the control of a promoter which functions in producer cells. Methods for suppressing packaging of helper Ad during packaging of a gutted Ad vector are also provided as are methods of producing recombinant helper Ad using lactose or lactose derivative as a regulatory molecule. Temperature shift may also be used to regulate growth of a recombinant helper Ad.

  • Patent number: 7585334
Abstract: A multi-layer resist process is used to define a sacrificial host structure used to produce a molecular ruler useful for defining structures via a lift-off type process. By using this process, the removal of the host structure is significantly simplified, and a structure is formed which is perfect for achieving a reproducible high yield lift-off. Moreover, the processes disclosed are completely compatible with volume IC manufacturing processes, and uses a minimum of the organic material which, in a high volume production application, will dramatically reduce solution depletion.
