Abstract: Process for removing pesticides from Ginkgo biloba extracts, which involves submitting an extract obtained by conventional methods to the following steps: a. Liquid-liquid extraction of the extract to obtain a medium polarity fraction containing ginkgo terpenes and pesticides not removable with hexane, and a high polarity fraction containing ginkgo flavone glycosides; b. crystallization from the medium polarity fraction obtained at step a) to give an intermediate with a ginkgolide content of not less than 50%; c. crystallization from the residual solution obtained at step b) to give an intermediate with a bilobalide content of not less than 50%; d. mixing of the high polarity fraction obtained at step a) with the ginkgo terpene intermediate and the bilobalide intermediate obtained at steps b) and c).

Abstract: The invention provides formulations containing sanguinarine, chelerythrine or chelidonine or their salts or extracts containing them, mixed with suitable vehicles and/or excipients, for the treatment of common skin warts and verrucas, anal and vulvar warts and psoriatic plaques.
Abstract: Disclosed is a combination of lipophilic extracts of Zingiber officinale and Echinacea angustifolia for the treatment of itching, peripheral pain, superficial and deep inflammatory and painful states, pain associated with muscle spasms, herpes pain, and radiodermatitis caused by oncological radiotherapy, with or without fungal or bacterial infections.
Abstract: The present invention relates to combinations of an agent that stimulates cell proliferation and an anti-inflammatory/analgesic, which are useful in the treatment of peripheral ulcers of various origins, such as radiation dermatitis, diabetic ulcers, ulcers caused by venous stasis of the limbs, bedsores, and the associated skin infections, proctitis, vulvovaginitis and haemorrhoids with vascular lesions. These combinations can be presented as formulations for topical use.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a plasmid comprising a sequence encoding for a fragment of p185neu chosen in the group consisting of SEQ ID 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 carried by applying a pulsating voltage having an intensity comprised in the range from 100 to 200 V, through a needle electrode for use in the preventive or therapeutic treatment of subjects at risk of developing p185neu-positive tumors, or of patients with p185neu-positive primary tumors, metastasis or relapses.
Abstract: Disclosed is a composition comprising: a. Cynara extract having a caffeoylquinic acid content ranging from 30 to 45% by weight, a flavonoid content ranging from 8 to 16% by weight and a cynaropicrin content ranging from 10 to 18% by weight; b. Coffea spp. extract containing between 40% and 80% by weight of caffeoylquinic acids; c. Olea europaea extract containing between 30% and 40% polyphenols, with a verbascoside content exceeding 5% and a hydroxytyrosol content exceeding 1.5%.
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions comprising Andrographis paniculata extracts combined with Ginkgo biloba extracts complexed with phospholipids. Moreover, the compositions administered in oils rich in ?-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids demonstrate a further synergic effect between the ingredients. Said compositions are useful in the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, in particular Alzheimer's disease and multiple sclerosis.
Abstract: The present invention relates to formulations containing extracts of Vaccinium myrtillus or other species rich in anthocyanosides, Punica granatum, Echinacea, and optionally Krameria triandra. Said formulations are useful in the treatment of disorders of the mouth and its adnexa, the throat and respiratory tract, and in the treatment of influenza.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of 10-deacetyl-7,10-bis-trichloroacetylbaccatine III with HPLC purity higher than 99% and free from 2-debenzoyl-2-pentenoylbaccatine III by purification of 10-deacetyl-7,10-bis-trichloroacetylbaccatineIII followed by alkaline hydrolysis of the protecting groups in position 7 and 10.
Abstract: The present invention relates to solid forms of 13-(N-Boc-?-isobutylserinyl)-14-? hydroxybaccatin III 1, 14-carbonate (Ortataxel). Amorphous Form A, crystalline Form B, mixtures thereof and processes for preparing them are disclosed. Amorphous Form A is prepared by fast precipitation of Ortataxel from a mixture of acetone and water. Form A transforms in Form B when suspended and stirred in a mixture of ethanol and water for 4-8 hours. If the suspension is stirred for less than 4 hours, mixtures of Form B and Form A are obtained. Form B or mixtures of Forms A and B can also be obtained dissolving Ortataxel in a protic organic solvent, followed by addition of water.
