Abstract: The present invention relates to techniques for determining unknown concentration of constituents of any known mixture. The said techniques comprising: obtaining a plurality of chromatograms relating to known concentration of known mixtures and at least one chromatogram relating to unknown concentration of the known mixture; converting each of the chromatograms into signal vectors; condensing the dimensions of each of the signal vectors for obtaining low dimensional signal vectors; processing the low dimensional signal vectors representing the chromatograms relating to known concentrations to obtain output values; and processing the at least one low dimensional signal vector representing the chromatogram relating to unknown concentration by utilizing the obtained output values for determining the unknown concentration of each of the constitutes of the known mixture.

The electronic device includes a first semiconductor layer and a second semiconductor layer sequentially stacked on a substrate and a source electrode, a gate electrode, and a drain electrode arranged on the second semiconductor layer. The electronic device further includes a field plate which is electrically connected to the source electrode and extends towards the drain electrode, wherein the field plate becomes farther away from the substrate as the field plate becomes closer to the drain electrode.

Abstract: A method for making a polyolefin composite separator is disclosed. Methyl methacrylate and ?-(triethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate are polymerized to form a copolymer. The copolymer is dissolved in a first solvent to form a copolymer solution. The copolymer solution is applied to a surface of a polyolefin porous film, and dried to form a gel polymer electrolyte precursor layer on the surface of the polyolefin porous film. The polyolefin porous film having the gel polymer electrolyte precursor layer applied thereon is fumigated in an atmosphere of hydrochloric acid gas. A polyolefin composite separator and a lithium ion battery are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a silicon carbide (SiC) sintered body and a SiC sintered body obtained by the method are provided. The method includes: preparing a composite powder by subjecting a SiC raw material and a sintering aid raw material to mechanical alloying; and sintering the composite powder, wherein the sintering aid is at least one selected from the group consisting of an Al—C-based material, an Al—B—C-based material, and a B—C-based material. Accordingly, a SiC sintered body that can be sintered at low temperature, can be densified, and has high strength and high electrical conductivity can be prepared.

Abstract: Carbon nanotube (CNT) immobilized membranes for harvesting pure water from air include CNTs incorporated into a layer of super-absorbing polymer. The super-absorbing polymer may be cast over a porous substrate. The super-absorbing polymer binds strongly to water and generates water clusters while the CNTs are operable to interrupt the specific water-polymer and water-water interactions to generate more free water which permeates more easily through the membrane. Methods of forming the CNT immobilized membranes are provided. The CNT immobilized membranes disclosed herein exhibit improved water vapor extraction efficiency, water vapor removal and mass transfer coefficient.
Abstract: Methods and devices for ion separations or manipulations in gas phase are disclosed. The device includes a single non-planar surface. Arrays of electrodes are coupled to the surface. A combination of RF and DC voltages are applied to the arrays of electrodes to create confining and driving fields that move ions through the device. The DC voltages are static DC voltages or time-dependent DC potentials or waveforms.

Abstract: A coating method for coating a crucible and a quartz crucible for growing a silicon crystal are provided. In the coating method, a bubble-free quartz layer which is 80 ?m to 4 mm thick is formed on an inner surface of a crucible for growing a silicon crystal, and the surface of the bubble-free quartz layer is covered with alkaline earth hydroxide, following which heating is performed to a temperature at which the surface becomes devitrified. The surface may be covered by immersing the inner surface in a solution of the alkaline earth hydroxide. The heating may be performed before the crucible for growing silicon crystal is filled with a solid raw material to be melted.
Abstract: A method for transiting an operation mode of a routing processor is provided, which allows each routing processor in a packet processing system to be transited among a slave operation mode, a slave stand-by mode, a master stand-by mode, and a master operation mode to allow the packet processing system to normally operate even though a failure occurs in the routing processor that is set in the master operation mode, a new routing processor is added, or the routing processor set in the master operation mode is initialized.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of fabricating a graphite sheet, including: polymerizing diamines and a dianhydride to form a polyamic acid. The polyamic acid is solvent casted on a substrate and hot baked to form a polyamic acid film or gel film. The polyamic acid film or gel film is biaxially stretched at a high temperature imidization or chemical imidization to form the polyimide film. The polyimide film is then carbonized and graphitized to form a graphite sheet. The diamines include a diamine of Formula 1 and a diamine of Formula 2, and the dianhydride includes a dianhydride of Formulae 3, Formula 4, Formula 5, Formula 6, Formula 7, Formula 8, Formula 9, or combinations thereof.
