Abstract: A constant amplitude decoding apparatus and method for multiplexed direct-sequence spread spectrum communication system are provided. The constant amplitude decoding apparatus includes: a despreading and demultiplexing module receiving a data stream of a constant amplitude and despreading and demultiplexing the received data stream to restore it to a 2D signal; a decoding module first performing a vertical decoding on the 2D signal and then performing horizontal decoding thereon; a control module determining whether to repeatedly perform vertical decoding and horizontal decoding; and a bit stream information output module outputting the decoding results from the decoding module as a bit stream.

Abstract: A conventional handover method is performed in units of base stations, so that there is a problem in that a large amount of power for handover is consumed and implementation cost is high. Through dedicated protocol message exchanges between a user equipment and a network or between networks, resource availability of candidate networks is checked in advance, a handover target network is selected from among the candidate networks according to a result of checking, and the selected target network is designated as a network to which the user equipment is handed over.

Abstract: A system for providing virtual AV service includes a local device middleware (LDM) media server which stores AV contents and a resource cooperation server (RCS) which separates the AV contents from the LDM media server into video contents and audio contents. The video contents and the audio contents are reproduced by an LDM video renderer and an LDM audio renderer, respectively. Abstract: This invention relates to a novel class of hybrid lipid compound based on pentaerythritol, their intermediates, preparation methods and uses thereof. Different kinds of functional groups such as alkyl chain, siloxane group, azobenzene, porphyrins, cholesterol, benzene ring and carboxyl were introduced into the four hydroxyl groups of pentaerythritol through chemical reaction to obtain the final hybrid lipid compounds based on pentaerythritol. Cerasomes prepared from such lipids have uniform size, silicate network surface, good stability and biocompatibility, and the leakage of drugs is not easy. The present liposome can be used as functional materials such as drugs or drug carriers, or used for optical storage and molecular devices, simulation, design and synthesis of artificial systems, nano-composite membrane materials and the removal of organic pollutants, etc., in addition, the preparation method of the present invention is simple, and it is easy for industrial production.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure set forth methods for determining a probability of retransmitting a packet in a time slot for a source node in a wireless network. Some example methods include determining whether transmission of the packet in the time slot is successful, measuring a number of time slots accumulated since a most recent successful transmission of the packet by the source node, and determining a first value of the probability based on a second value associated with the number of time slots accumulated.
Abstract: Method for the preparation of at least one compound with biological properties from blood, where said method is performed in sealed tubes at a pressure below atmospheric pressure, thereby reducing or preventing the bacterial contamination of the compound through handling. The method comprises the repetition, for as many times as is required, of the following steps: connecting a second container that is vacuum-sealed to an extraction device connected in turn to a first container that contains blood separated into fractions, waiting for a period of time until the required fraction(s) is/are transferred, and removing said second container, with it thus being possible to obtain several second containers with different compounds for different medical applications including biological therapies. The steps may be performed in a closed system, without removing the caps of the containers, or alternatively the first container may be opened prior to the introduction of the extraction device.

Abstract: The present invention provides a microorganism which possesses the formate dehydrogenase gene and hydrogenase gene and contains an exogenous transcription activator gene for formate hydrogen lyase system, characterized in that said microorganism shows the transcription activator for formate hydrogen lyase system highly expressed therein and shows an improved function to generate hydrogen from formic acid, and a process for producing hydrogen using the microorganism. Further, it is possible to optimize a threshold voltage, effectively reduce an EOT, and enhance a gate control capability and a driving current.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for clamping one or more cables is provided comprising a first component and a second component, wherein the first and second components each have a main body, a cut out region, and a connector region; and wherein the two components are removably coupled by connecting together their respective connector and cut out regions. The clamping force to the cables can be determined solely by finger pressure, which permits the user to have excellent tactile feedback to safely clamp a cable bundle. The apparatus is compatible with mass production injection molding and can be used for applications requiring UHV compatibility.
