  • Patent number: 7266124
Abstract: The present invention presents a method for setting up a QoS (Quality-of-Service) supported bi-directional tunnel and distributing L2VPN (Layer-2 Virtual Private Network) membership information for an L2VPN using an extended LDP (Label Distribution Protocol). In a network providing MPLS based L2VPN service, which includes a plurality of VPN provider edges (PEs), a plurality of VPN customer edges (CEs) connected to the PEs and a VPN DNS (Domain Name Service) server for managing PE information associated with a plurality of VPNs, a PE registers information associated with the VPN DNS server to provide the L2VPN service, and uses the extended LDP for QoS supported bi-directional tunnel setup and the extended LDP for QoS supported L2VPN membership information distribution. A VPN CE needs only a simple Layer-2 connection providing function for the L2VPN service.

  • Patent number: 7266119
Abstract: A NAT system for supporting mobile IP in private networks and its method. A mobile node moves from its home network to a foreign private network and obtains a CoA from the private network. The mobile node sends a registration packet to a home agent in the home network. The registration packet has a swap address option field. A NAT device in the private network swaps the source address with the swap address of the registration packet, and translates the source address into the public address of the NAT device, thereby sending the registration packet to the home agent. After receiving the registration packet, the home agent responds a registration reply packet having a swap address option field filled in the CoA. The NAT device swaps the destination address with the swap address of the registration reply packet, thereby sending the registration reply packet to the mobile node.

  • Patent number: 7266501
Abstract: The invention enables the inclusion of voice and remaining audio information at different parts of the audio production process. In particular, the invention embodies special techniques for VRA-capable digital mastering, accommodation of PCPV/PCA and/or SCRA signals in audio CODECs, VRA-capable encoders and decoders, and VRA in DVD and other digital audio file formats. The invention facilitates an end-listener's voice-to-remaining audio (VRA) adjustment upon the playback of digital audio media formats by focusing on new configurations of multiple parts of the entire digital audio system, thereby enabling a new technique intended to benefit audio end-users (end-listeners) who wish to control the ratio of the primary vocal/dialog content of an audio program relative to the remaining portion of the audio content in that program.

  • Patent number: 7265761
Abstract: A multilevel texture mapping process for a 3D model maps different perspective images onto a 3D model. The textures mapped to the 3D model are processed from image level to texture level, then to pixel level, hence, the method eases the edge appearance problem at the boundary where neighboring images are stitched together caused by different lighting and viewing parameters. The result shows that the smooth transition between neighboring textures provides better visual quality than just blending the boundary where neighboring images are stitched.
