  • Patent number: 7268081
Abstract: Techniques for transferring a membrane from one wafer to another wafer to form integrated semiconductor devices. In one implementation, a carrier wafer is fabricated to include a membrane on one side of the carrier wafer. The membrane on the carrier wafer is then bond to a surface of a different, device wafer by a plurality of joints. Next, the carrier wafer is etched away by a dry etching chemical to expose the membrane and to leave said membrane on the device wafer. Transfer of membranes with a wet etching process is also described.

  • Patent number: 7268349
Abstract: The present invention relates to uncooled infrared detector with infrared absorption structure in which the supporting layer, detection layer, protecting layer, and dielectric layer construct ?/4 resonating absorbtion structure as a single body. In order to enhance the characteristic of uncooled infrared detector, it is essential for the infrared absorption layer to absorb incident infrared with high efficiency. The present invention is characterized in that the infrared detector with unified absorption layer includes an infrared detection film, a device protecting layer, a supporting layer for thermally isolated structure, and a dielectric layer, etc. in its absorption structure. Due to this characteristic, highly efficient infrared absorption is possible with much less thermal mass than the absorption layer for the structure of existing metal/dielectric/metal structure and regardless of the distortion of floating structure caused by fabrication fault rather than air cavity ?/4 structure.

  • Publication number: 20070207810
Abstract: A method and system for allocating a channel are provided in a communication system including a plurality of Mobile Stations (MSs) and Base Stations (BSs) for providing a communication service to the plurality of MSs. A BS transmits an average Channel Quality Information (CQI) request to MSs. The MSs measure CQI with respect to their channels in response to the request from the BS, compute average CQI from the measured CQI, and transmit the average CQI to the BS. The BS selects a predefined number of MSs according to the average CQI received from the MSs and sets an MS group. The BS transmits a CQI request to the MS group. The MSs of the MS group transmit the CQI to the BS. The BS receives the CQI from the MS group and allocates a channel according to the CQI.

  • Publication number: 20070209068
Abstract: Embodiments are directed toward a method for Behavior-based Traffic Differentiation (BTD) that initially receives incoming packets and performs traffic classification to determine the protocol of the incoming packets. In addition, BTD performs bandwidth division/allocation to further support traffic classification amongst non-TCP traffic such as UDP and ICMP. For TCP traffic, the method for BTD determines whether a TCP connection has been established and performs at least one of rate limiting, waiting time reduction for half-open connections, and incrementing backlog queue size when the TCP connection has not been established. If the TCP connection has been established successfully, the method for BTD further includes proactive tests for traffic differentiation which identify normal traffic, which is admitted, and attack traffic, which is dropped.
