Abstract: A phase change memory device and fabricating method are provided. A disk-shaped phase change layer is buried within the insulating material. A center via and ring via are formed by a lithography. The center via is located in the center of the phase change layer and passes through the phase change layer, and the ring via takes the center via as a center. A heating electrode within the center via performs Joule heating of the phase change layer, and the contact area between the phase change layer and the heating electrode is reduced by controlling the thickness of the phase change layer. Furthermore, a second electrode within the ring via dissipates the heat transmitted to the contact interface between the phase change layers, so as to avoid transmitting the heat to the etching boundary at the periphery of the phase change layer.

Abstract: A symbology or mapping between multi-dimensional topographical parameters and characters allows multi-dimensional topographical problems to be turned into one-dimensional sequence problems, allowing fast, computationally efficient and robust sequence analysis methodologies to be employed. Substitution matrices allow the scoring of matches or hits. Such techniques may be applied to proteins, polymers or other multi-dimensional structures.
Abstract: An optical table comprising an upper skin tapped with holes for mounting equipment, a lower skin with a plurality of through holes which is coaxial with the tapped holes on the upper skin in a one to one arrangement, a honeycomb core, a connecting side wall, and a number of tubes. The tubes are positioned between the interior of the upper and lower skins so as to connect the holes on both skins so that contaminants and residue will be unable to enter into the interior of the honeycomb core, and so that the optical table can be rapidly and thoroughly cleaned.

Abstract: A water-repellent structure and a method for fabricating the same are provided. The method adopts an atmospheric pressure plasma deposition (APPD) technique to form a hardened coating having a rough surface on a substrate, and form a water-repellent coating on the rough surface. Because the water-repellent structure includes the hardened coating and the water-repellent coating, hardness, abrasion-resistance, transparency and hydrophobicity of the water-repellent structure are improved. The hard water-repellent structure protects the substrate from friction. Moreover, because the present invention adopts the APPD technique to form the water-repellent structure, the cost of production is reduced dramatically. Thus, the present invention can solve drawbacks of prior art.

Abstract: This invention provides a method of producing chitosan non-woven fabrics and an apparatus thereof. At first, a chitosan acidic solution is extruded to form a chitosan fibrous stream. Then, a solidifying agent is ejected to form a solidifying agent stream. The solidifying agent stream and the chitosan fibrous stream are combined to form a pre-solidified chitosan fiber. Then, high-pressure air is ejected on the pre-solidified chitosan fiber to stretch the pre-solidified chitosan fiber. Finally, the chitosan fibers are collected to form chitosan non-woven fabrics.

Abstract: A metal-insulator-insulator (MIM) capacitor structure is provided. The MIM capacitor includes a top electrode, a bottom electrode and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is disposed between the top electrode and the bottom electrode. The main feature for this kind of MIM capacitor is that the bottom electrode includes a conductive layer and a metal nitride with multi-layered structure. The metal nitride with multi-layered structure is disposed between the conductive layer and the dielectric layer. The nitrogen content in the metal nitride with multi-layered structure gradually increases toward the dielectric layer and the metal nitride belongs to the amorphous type. Due to the presence of the metal nitride, the dielectric layer is prevented from crystallization, thereby reducing the current leakage of the MIM capacitor.
