Abstract: The present invention is directed to methods of prognosing, treating, or managing treatment of cancer in a subject. These methods involve selecting a subject having cancer, obtaining, from the selected subject, a sample containing exosomes, recovering the exosomes from the sample, and isolating the double-stranded DNA from within the exosomes. The isolated double-stranded DNA is then used to detect the presence or absence of one or more genetic mutations associated with cancer, quantify the amount of isolated double-stranded DNA from the recovered exosomes in the sample, detect the methylation status of the isolated double-stranded DNA, or quantify the amount isolated double-stranded DNA able to enter a recipient cell. The prognosing, treating, or managing treatment is carried out based on this information.

Abstract: A method for establishing a monitoring model of a water content of a winter wheat canopy based on spectral parameters, includes the following steps: measuring a spectral reflectance and a water content of the winter wheat canopy; constructing the spectral parameters through the spectral reflectance; wherein, the spectral parameters comprise spectral transformation forms and “trilateral” parameters; performing correlation analysis on the water content of the winter wheat canopy and the spectral transformation forms and the trilateral parameters, selecting comprehensive spectral parameters with a significant correlation for each growth stage, performing principal component analysis on the comprehensive spectral parameters, separately constructing a water content monitoring model for each growth stage, and combining the water content monitoring model for each growth stage into the monitoring model of the water content of the winter wheat canopy for the whole growth stage.

Abstract: An electronic control unit for a vehicle for switching vehicle control from an autonomous driving mode includes one or more processors, network interface hardware configured to communicate with a remote server over a network, and one or more memory modules that store logic. The electronic control unit executes logic to determine that the autonomous driving mode of the vehicle will terminate, determine that a driver is unavailable to take immediate control of the vehicle upon termination of the autonomous driving, transfer control of the vehicle to a remote operator over the network interface hardware for a first time period, generate an alert to the driver to take manual control of the vehicle, and transfer control of the vehicle to one of the driver and the autonomous driving mode after the first time period has elapsed.
Abstract: A chemical sensor and a system and method for sensing a chemical species. The chemical sensor includes a plurality of nanofibers whose electrical impedance varies upon exposure to the chemical species, a substrate supporting and electrically isolating the fibers, a set of electrodes connected to the plurality of fibers at spatially separated points to permit the electrical impedance of the plurality of fibers to be measured, and a membrane encasing the fibers and having a thickness ranging from 50 ?m to 5.0 mm. The system includes the chemical sensor, an impedance measuring device coupled to the electrodes and configured to determine an electrical impedance of the plurality of fibers, and an analyzer configured to identify the chemical species based on a change in the electrical impedance.
Abstract: The present invention related to a method for preparing carbon nanospheres modified current collector and its application in metal secondary battery. The said method includes the preparation of carbon nanospheres modified current collector by chemical vapor deposition process and the process for loading metal into the modified current collector as an anode. Comparing with the bare Ni, the said anode with modified current collector demonstrates enhanced stripping/plating efficiency, well confinement of Li dendrite, stable long lifespan and strengthen safety.

Abstract: The microRNA dyslipidemia inhibitor includes methods of administering a miRNA capable of inhibiting dyslipidemia to a subject in need thereof. The methods of the miRNA dyslipidemia inhibitor may include administration of miRNA-103 to a subject in need thereof. The administration of miRNA-103 may inhibit ANGPTL8 activity, thereby reducing ANGPTL8's inhibition of lipoprotein lipase activity and increasing triglyceride degradation. The additively-manufactured article has both an adequate mechanical strength and an adequate electrical conductivity.

Abstract: A method for a 3D scene reconstruction of autonomous agent operation sequences includes iteratively parsing sequence segmentation parts of agent operation sequence images into dynamic sequence segmentation parts and static sequence segmentation parts. The method also includes fitting 3D points over the static sequence segmentation parts to construct a 3D model of the static sequence segmentation parts over multiple frames of the agent operation sequence images. The method further includes removing the 3D model of the static sequence segmentation parts from the agent operation sequence images. The method also includes processing the dynamic sequence segmentation parts from each of the agent operation sequence images over the multiple frames of the agent operation sequence images to determine trajectories of the dynamic sequence segmentation parts.
Abstract: The present application provides bifunctional compounds of Formula (I): or an enantiomer, diastereomer, or stereoisomer thereof, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt, hydrate, solvate, or prodrug thereof, which act as protein degradation inducing moieties for Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK). The present application also relates to methods for the targeted degradation of BTK through the use of the bifunctional compounds that link a ubiquitin ligase-binding moiety to a ligand that is capable of binding to BTK which can be utilized in the treatment of disorders modulated by BTK.

Abstract: A superconducting medium includes a first layer made of a first superconductor and a second layer made of a second superconductor. The first layer has a first thickness less than a first coherence length of the first superconductor. The second layer has a second thickness less than a second coherence length of the second superconductor so as to induce a proximity effect between the first layer and the second layer. The proximity effect can induce desirable properties in the resulting superconducting medium. Controlling the thickness ratio of the first layer to the second layer can also tune the property of the superconducting medium.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a parathyroid sensing system, and includes: a modulator for generating a modulation signal having a predetermined frequency; a lock-in amplifier and a light source which receive information on the modulation signal; an excitation filter for transmitting, among light emitted from the light source, only excitation light that excites parathyroid glands; an emission filter connected to a probe and selectively transmitting only fluorescence emitted from the parathyroid glands; a near-infrared sensor for sensing the autofluorescence that has passed through the emission filter, and converting the sensed autofluorescence into an electric signal; and a speaker for generating an alarm through the electric signal. Through the present invention, the locations of the parathyroid glands may be precisely identified even when lights are turned on in an operating room, and convenience may be provided by alerting a surgeon by means of an alarm when the parathyroid glands are detected.
