  • Patent number: 6945363
Abstract: A method for monitoring shaft doors of a elevator installation uses at least one contactlessly acting shaft door monitoring sensor to emit a beam of electromagnetic waves, wherein at least during specific detection phases the beam extends over several floors and is detected by a receiver. The beam is influenced by a shaft door panel not being completely closed and/or a shaft door lock not being disposed in the locking setting such that a disturbance signal is generated to the elevator control.

  • Patent number: 6942067
Abstract: An emergency drive is a toothed element such as a gear rim, is arranged on a traction sheave of an elevator drive. During emergency operation, the gear rim is driven by means of a pinion of an auxiliary engine. The engine is installed on the elevator drive only during an emergency operation. After emergency operation, the engine is removed from the drive unit. The gear rim may be composed of several layers of interlocked segments. The layers are mutually shifted in a circumferential direction. Each segment consists of laminated/interlocked sheet metal segments, which are, as mass-produced goods, cheaply producible through cutting and punching procedures.

  • Patent number: 6880678
Abstract: According to the invention, the maintenance scaffold (10) is assembled as follows: in a first step, an illuminated ceiling, which lies below the collapsed maintenance scaffold (10), is taken down. Suspension members (17) are then brought into a vertical position. The platform (12) and flap (13) are lowered vertically until they reach the bearings (19) of the suspension members (17). Before mounting the platform (12), the maintenance personnel must unfold the ladder (18) and open the flap (13) upwards. Once the personnel has mounted the platform (12), the flap is closed (13) by means of a handle, in such a way that the entire platform can be used as a working scaffold. With the maintenance scaffold (10) in the working position, the height for a regulatory passage (U) is maintained, as determined by the distance between the cabin ceiling (14) and the platform (12).

  • Patent number: 6857507
Abstract: A multi-deck cage has a deck floor with a ramp drive for fine positioning. The deck floor is configured as a ramp rotatable about a rotary axle and is movable up and down by means of actuators of the ramp drive. A sensor, which locates a mark arranged at a story sill, is arranged at a deck sill which is constructed as part of the deck floor. If the sensor has, at a stopping of the multi-deck cage at the story, travelled past the mark, the ramp drive is activated in a direction opposite to the travel direction of the multi-deck cage past the story stop until the sensor and the mark are disposed at the same level.
