Abstract: Commands relating to a conference session being handled by a first conference server are logged, where the commands are exchanged between an application server and the first conference server. Failure of the first conference server is detected. In response to detecting the failure, the logged commands are used to transfer the conference session to a second conference server.
Abstract: In a cellular radio system cell identities, in particular E-UTRAN PCIDs, are grouped in accordance with the area (e.g., Tracking Area), to which they belong to in a message transmitted from a radio base station to a mobile station. In one embodiment the grouped cell identity information is transmitted as a broadcast message. A multi RAT (e.g., GERAN/E-UTRAN) capable mobile station receiving such a broadcast message where the IDs are grouped together in tracking area groups is then enabled to determine the neighboring cells that belong to the same area. When cell reselection to an E-UTRAN cell is rejected due to a Tracking Area not being allowed, the mobile station can then be allowed to directly initiate cell reselection to E-UTRAN cells that are not part of the same PCID group, and which do not belong to the same tracking area.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a white space device (WSD) of a secondary wireless network, and to a related method for transmitting a first signal on a channel available for secondary usage allocated to a primary wireless system. The method in the WSD comprises determining (410) a further channel used by the primary wireless system, that would be interfered by a transmission of the first signal on the channel available for secondary usage, retrieving (420) signal information associated with the determined further channel from the primary wireless system, transmitting (430) the first signal on the channel available for secondary usage, and transmitting (440) a second signal on the determined further channel based on the retrieved signal information, simultaneously with the first signal on the channel available for secondary usage* such that an interference generated in the primary wireless system by the first signal transmission is compensated for by the second signal transmission.

Abstract: This disclosure relates a method and a base station for network sharing using carrier aggregation. The base station of a multi-carrier system comprises a multiple of cells, where each cell corresponds to a carrier that is associated with a PLMN. The base station receives (302, S-424, S-516, S-616) a UE request with information of a UE (402, 502, 602), where a first cell of said multiple of cells corresponds to a first carrier. The base station determines (304, S-428, S-520, S-626) based on base station settings and/or UE information, whether an other carrier associated with a different PLMN is available to said UE. If so, the base station sends (306, S-430, S-440, S-524, S-530) a resource configuration message destined for said UE (402, 502, 602), enabling said UE to configure said other carrier as a SCC. Better coverage, peak rates and capacity, without suffering from the drawbacks of existing RAN sharing techniques, are provided.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention reduce the compression time in order to achieve a faster texture compression. That is achieved by guessing, i.e. estimating the best table or tables (e.g. from tables 0 to 7) representing luminance information, and to only execute the compression for the table(s) estimated to provide the best luminance information.

Abstract: A method of allocating radio resources to communication links of a wireless communication system based on status parameters of each of the links, the communication system having a plurality of network nodes, a plurality of relays associated with the network nodes, and a terminal accessing the communication system. A first radio resource allocation may be determined by balancing the performance of a relay-to-network-node communication link of each relay against the performance of a corresponding terminal-to-relay communication link. A second allocation may be determined by balancing the performance of the relay-to-network-node communication link of each relay against the performance of a terminal-to-network-node communication link. A final allocation may be determined by calculating a weighted average value of the first and second allocations.
Abstract: A memory cell is provided with a transistor which includes source and drain electrodes formed in a semiconductor film by respectively N-doped and P-doped areas. The transistor includes first and second devices for generating a potential barrier in the semiconductor film. The two potential barriers are shifted laterally and are opposed to the passage of the charge carriers emitted by the nearest source/drain electrode. One of the devices for generating the potential barrier is electrically connected to the gate. The other of the devices for generating the potential barrier is electrically connected to the counter-electrode. The writing of a high state is carried out by imposing on the P-doped electrode a potential higher than that of the N-doped electrode and charging the capacitor formed between the gate and the semiconductor film. The resetting of the memory cell is obtained by discharging the capacitor.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and radio receiver system for canceling multi-user interference in a single-carrier radio communication system. A front-end receiver such as a RAKE receiver receives a radio signal formatted in a sequence of frames, and outputs a plurality of user signals. A processing selector selects on a frame-by-frame basis, either a first signal processing chain that serially decodes and removes the interference contributions of the user signals, or a second signal processing chain that simultaneously decodes and removes the interference contributions of the user signals in parallel. The processing selector may select the first signal processing chain when the number of user signals is greater than or equal to a threshold value, and may select the second signal processing chain when the number of user signals is less than the threshold value.
Abstract: Systems and methods allow for uplink selection using sounding reference signals in radiocommunication systems. A method for selecting at least one antenna to receive uplink transmissions from a user equipment (UE) from among a plurality of antennas includes the steps of: assigning a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource to the UE, receiving one or more reports from antenna devices having said plurality of antennas, which reports indicate receipt of an SRS on said assigned SRS resource, and selecting the at least one antenna based on said one or more reports.

Abstract: A base station and method are described herein that improves the coverage in a fixed-beam wireless communication system by using antenna beam-jitter and Channel Quality Information (CQI) correction. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of: (a) modifying a beam by introducing a beam-jitter in a beam-forming pattern; (b) receiving an estimated channel quality information, CQI, from a user terminal; (c) accounting for effects of the beam jitter on the estimated CQI to obtain a jitter-adjusted CQI estimate; (d) and using the jitter-adjusted CQI estimate during user scheduling for a future transmission to the user terminal.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an undersampling observation receiver for use in a power amplifier digital predistortion system for concurrent multi-band signals. In one embodiment, an undersampling observation receiver receives a concurrent multi-band signal output by a power amplifier. The concurrent multi-band output signal includes multiple original frequency bands. The undersampling observation receiver undersamples the concurrent multi-band signal at a select sampling rate to provide an undersampled multi-band signal. The select sampling rate is such that a frequency-flipped image of at least one of the original frequency bands and images of any remaining original frequency bands fall within a frequency range of zero to half of the select sampling rate and do not overlap one another.
