Abstract: A base station initializes pseudo-random sequence generators on which wireless devices base generation of uplink reference signals. The base station determines a first sequence from a first subset of possible initialization sequences for a sequence generator of a first device, and determines a second sequence from a second subset of possible initialization sequences for a sequence generator of a second device. The range of this second subset spans at least the range of the first subset. The base station further encodes the first sequence as a first set of two or more parameters, and encodes the second sequence as a second set of one or more parameters. This second set includes at least one parameter not included in the first set, and comprises fewer bits than the first set. The base station initializes the sequence generators by transmitting the first and second sets of parameters to the devices.

Abstract: The present application relates to a method for enabling a terminal to transmit channel status information in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the method for enabling the terminal to transmit the channel status information in the wireless communication system includes the steps of: receiving a reference signal from a serving cell or an adjacent cell; determining the priority of the predetermined precoding matrix index (PMI) based on the reference signal; and transmitting the PMI together with a stacking flag to the serving cell according to the priority, wherein the number of PMI to be transmitted to the serving cell is determined based on a size of a buffer commonly set in the serving cell and the terminal, and the stacking flag indicates storing the PMI into the buffer or initializing the buffer.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing a thermogenerator (10) comprising a plurality of thermocouples formed of p-type thermoelements (12) and n-type thermoelements (14). A wafer (18), provided with a plurality of holes (20a, 20b) is covered in thermoelectric material powder (22, 24). Pressure (P) is applied to the powder (22, 24) so that it penetrates into the holes (20a, 20b) while heating so as to form a plurality of p-type and n-type thermoelements (12, 14) contained in the wafer (18). The wafer (18) is thinned, the thinned wafer thus forming a matrix (16) in which the thermoelements (12, 14) are contained. While preserving the matrix (16) the p-type thermoelements are connected so as to form thermocouples and the n-type thermoelements are connected so as to form thermocouples, thereby obtaining a thermogenerator (10).

Abstract: A circuit converts a single-ended signal to differential signals that are balanced to have the same amplitudes and opposite phases relative to a reference point of the differential signals. The circuit includes a balance tunable balun, a detector, and a controller. The balance tunable balun has a primary winding, a secondary winding, a control input, and a switched resistor-capacitor (RC) network. The primary winding receives the single-ended signal and the secondary winding outputs the differential signals. The control input receives a control signal and the switched RC network controls the reference point of the differential signals responsive to this control signal. The detector detects the output imbalance and the controller generates the control signal to control the switched RC network to effectively adjust the reference point as needed to reduce that output imbalance. The circuit produces well balanced differential signals over a wide range of signal frequencies.

Abstract: The invention discloses a beamforming method for polarized antenna array consisting of a plurality of antenna elements, applied to single layer beamforming or dual layer beamforming, which includes the steps: determining (201) first beamforming weights for phase compensation among the antenna elements within each polarization direction; determining (202) second beamforming weights for phase compensation between equivalent channels of two polarization directions; and calculating (203) hybrid beamforming weights as product of the first beamforming weights and the second beamforming weights. A beamforming apparatus for polarized antenna array is also provided in the invention as well as a radio communication device and a system thereof. With the invention, the single-layer and dual-layer beamforming weights are determined for the cross-polarized antenna array without requiring full channel knowledge or the aid of PMI. Computation complexity is lowered and full power amplifier utilization can be achieved.

Abstract: Systems and methods utilize enhanced metrics for demodulation and/or soft bit information generation in the presence of a non-constant envelope modulated interfering signal. In one embodiment, a receiver includes a downconverter and a demodulator. The downconverter receives a radio frequency signal comprising a desired signal, noise, and a non-constant envelope modulated interfering signal, and downconverts the radio frequency signal to provide a downconverted signal. The demodulator demodulates the downconverted signal based on a demodulation metric that models the non-constant envelope modulated interfering signal as a stationary non-Gaussian random process with a probability distribution derived from a modulation constellation of a modulation used for the non-constant envelope modulated interfering signal. In one embodiment, the demodulator outputs demodulated symbols. In another embodiment, the demodulator outputs soft bit information.

Each memory, including at least one logic memory entity, is locally associated with a computation unit. After receiving a control for access to a logic memory entity, the status of an indicator of the status of the logic memory entity (first entity) to which the received command applies is determined. If the indicator is in a first state, the received control is executed. If, on the contrary, the indicator is in a second state, data stored in the first entity is migrated into a second logic memory entity of a memory separate from the memory including the first entity, and the status of the second entity is placed into the first state.
