Abstract: A measuring device, intended to be placed on the skin of a human-being or animal user, the device extending between a contact face and a far end, the device including a side wall that extends between the contact face and the far end, on the contact face, at least one aperture to collect a gas of interest emitted through the skin, the aperture being produced through the contact face; a collecting chamber that extends between the contact face and a measuring chamber; a gas sensor, placed in the measuring chamber, to measure a concentration of gas of interest flowing through the measuring chamber; a processing unit, to estimate a gas-of-interest content in the body of the user based on the measurement taken by the gas sensor; a heat source to bring the contact face to a temperature above 37° C.; and an air intake produced through the side wall to admit ambient air into the duct.

Abstract: An end effector structure provided for an ablation apparatus, optionally having a covering balloon structure made from a compliant material such as rubber like materials, as for example silicone, including an antenna to emit microwave energy for cavity ablation that is covered with microwave energy absorbing and heat radiating material so that when end effector inserted into the body cavity, the balloon is filled up with liquid and balloon stretches to conform to a profile of the cavity to be ablated, and the applied microwave energy heats the liquid inside the balloon and heat energy to ablate or otherwise treat the body cavity tissue contacted with the compliant end effector. Other embodiments without the covering balloon apply heat directly to the cavity with the heated liquid.

Abstract: A method for producing at least one nitride layer includes providing a stack having a plurality of pillars extending from a substrate of the stack. Each pillar includes at least a crystalline section and a summit having a summit surface area The method also includes growing by epitaxy a crystallite from the summit of some the plurality of pillars and continuing the epitaxial growth of the crystallites until the crystallites supported by the pillars coalesce. The plurality of pillars includes at least one retention pillar and separation pillars. The pillars are configured so that once the nitride layer is formed, the at least one retention pillar retains the nitride layer and some of the separation pillars can fracture.

Abstract: A system may allow for generic end user mobile devices to be operated using a virtualized personal device framework. The virtualized personal device framework may provide for a collective intelligence network platform that allows offloading of heavy computing processes onto virtual instance in a cloud network and enables crowd sourcing services for smart cities that may provide smart emergency services in which end-users collaborate.

Abstract: A system may include a processor, a user input, and memory comprising a graph and executable instructions. The executable instructions may cause the processor to effectuate operations. The operations include receiving, via the user input, a query comprising a class generalization and pathway variables. The operations include identifying a query class based on at least the class generalization and determining an anchor set based on at least one of the pathway variables. The operations also include translating the pathway variables into a pathway algebraic expression based on the anchor set and the query class and executing the pathway algebraic expression on the graph to return a pathway set.

Abstract: A fluid entrained particle separation system may include a particle separator, a main fluid passage extending along an axis to guide translational fluid flow along the axis to the particle separator and a side fluid inlet connected to the main fluid passage to generate a vortex about the axis. The vortex concentrates less dense material in the fluid flow towards the axis.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically generating a meeting summary is disclosed herein. Meeting audio is recorded and converted into a text-based transcript. Handwritten meeting notes are converted into notes text. The transcript and notes text are correlated to provide correlated meeting text. Meeting topics are determined from the correlated meeting text. A meeting summary is generated from the meeting topics.

Abstract: A connector assembly for installation on a wall includes a main connector body introduced into a cut-out hole of the wall and a protective shell positioned on an inner side of the wall. The protective shell protects the main connector body from an insulation foam entering the main connector body when foamed in place. The protective shell has a front portion, a receptacle formed at the front portion and receiving a second end of the main connector body, a flange extending from and surrounding the receptacle, and a lead-through channel formed at a back portion of the protective shell. The flange is attached on the inner side of the wall and covers the cut-out hole. The lead-through channel has an internal flap routing a cable through the back portion in a meandering manner. The internal flap is inclined with respect to the lead-through channel.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for managing indirect contamination of devices in a defined environment. A user device associated with a particular user is connected with one more devices that are shared with other users in a defined environment. Proximity data of the user device and the one or more shared devices is provided to an administrative service of the defined environment. If the user device is determined to be contaminated, the user device is flagged, and notification is provided to the other users of the shared devices as to possible contamination risk.

Abstract: A circuit includes an electronic switch configured to be coupled intermediate a high-voltage node and low-voltage circuitry and configured to couple the low-voltage circuitry to the high-voltage node. A voltage-sensing node is configured to be coupled to the high-voltage node via a pull-up resistor. A further electronic switch can be switched to a conductive state to couple the voltage-sensing node and the control node of the electronic switch. A comparator compares a threshold with a voltage at the voltage-sensing node and causes the further electronic switch to switch on in response to the voltage at said voltage-sensing node reaching said threshold. A charge pump coupled to the current flow-path of the electronic switch is activated to the conductive state to pump electric charge from the current flow-path of the electronic switch to the control node of the electronic switch via the further electronic switch switched to the conductive state.

Abstract: An information handling system having a heat exchanger positioned near and in thermally-conductive conduct with an electrical, heat-generating component of the information handling system, such as a central processing unit or graphics processing unit. A fan directs air across the heat exchanger to cool the electrical component by convection. A first portion of the heat pipe may be in direct physical contact with the electrical component and a second portion of the heat pipe may be in thermal contact with the electrical component and the first portion and in direct physical contact with an additional heat exchanger. The fan may direct air across both heat exchangers to cool the electrical component.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes a method of forming and loading a multi-fluid density gradient column. The method can include forming a multi-fluid density gradient column and loading magnetizing microparticles into a first fluid layer or a second fluid layer of the multi-fluid density gradient column. Forming the multi-fluid density gradient column can include loading a first fluid having a first fluid density in a multi-fluid density gradient column to form a first fluid layer and loading a second fluid having a second fluid density greater than the first fluid density in the multi-fluid density gradient column to form a second fluid layer. The multi-fluid density gradient column can be fluidly coupled to a fluid processing device. The magnetizing microparticles can be surface-activated to bind with a biological component or can be bound to the biological component.

Abstract: A compact and mobile information handling system, such as a tablet, including a thermally-configured chassis having one or more fans and one or more inlets for directing air flow directly across components of the information handling system to cool such components by convection. Such fans may additionally direct air flow across a heat exchanger and/or heat pipe coupled to heat-producing components like a central processing unit and/or graphics processing unit. Components of the information handling system may be positioned on the thermally-configured chassis and used to efficiently direct the air flow throughout the chassis without requiring additional space. The inlets and outlets may be positioned on one or more sides of the information handling system.
