Abstract: Methods are described for providing conference calls. Methods are performed in a conference call system and includes: receiving local contact information for a plurality of contacts stored in a local phone book of a user equipment associated with a caller; updating a contact database of the conference call system based on the local contact information; registering the caller with an interactive voice response system of the conference call system; receiving a spoken request from the caller; accessing the contact database with contact information and retrieving a phone number responsive to the spoken request; calling the retrieved phone number; and establishing contact between the caller and a person associated with the retrieved phone number. Systems and computer readable mediums are also described.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for fabricating chip elements provided with a groove from devices formed on a wafer. The method comprises the steps consisting in, depositing a sacrificial film on the wafer so as to leave a central part of each device exposed and to cover an edge of the device at the level of which the groove is to be formed; applying a mold on the sacrificial film; injecting a hardenable material into the mold; hardening the hardenable material; dicing the wafer between the devices; and eliminating the sacrificial film.

Abstract: A module for a telecommunications subrack as well as a telecommunication subrack are disclosed. The module is a horizontal plug in unit including a power part that includes power filtering functions for securing power feed to a backplane of the subrack as well as to a number of fans also arranged on the module for cooling of the subrack. The module also includes connectors arranged in the rear of the module for connecting the module to the backplane as well as connectors arranged in the front of the module for accommodating power cables. The telecommunications subrack includes a cage configured to accommodate cards, an air intake with filter and two or more removably mounted modules. Each of these modules includes a power part that includes power filtering functions for securing power feed for the subrack, input connectors arranged in the front of the module for accommodating power cables, fans for cooling of the subrack, and output connectors for connecting the module to a backplane of the subrack.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for detecting the presence of an object or of a living being between two end points. This device comprises, on the one hand, a means for emitting an electromagnetic signal comprising an emit antenna associated with a first end point, and a means for exciting this antenna so as to make this antenna emit such a signal and, on the other hand, a means for receiving this electromagnetic signal comprising a receive antenna associated with a second end point, together with means for detecting such a signal. This detection device is characterized in that the emit and receive antennas each adopt the form of a tubular waveguide having at least one wall provided with at least one opening. The invention further relates to an installation for protecting, for counting or for closing an opening equipped with such a detection device.

Abstract: A topology aware entity, such as an OSS (Operations Support System), an NMS (Network Management System) or an RM (Resource Manager), associated with an Ethernet network is configured to execute a method for topological location discovery of nodes that are added to the network. According to the method, the topology aware entity receives (step 30) a notification about a new node that has been added to the network. Then, the topology aware entity causes (step 31) an existing node to initiate a path discovery to the new node using an Ethernet Connectivity and Fault Management, CFM, protocol, such as IEE 802.1 ag or ITU-T Y.1731. The topology aware entity receives (step 32) the resulting path data from the existing node and identifies (step 33), based on the path data, a topological position of the new node in the Ethernet network. A protection unit is connectable between communication lines and a line interface unit. The protection unit can be interconnected with other protection units to form a protection switching system. One protection unit in the protection switching system is connectable to a stand-by line card. The protection switching system is configured so that when protection switching is needed, the line signal is re-directed between the communication line for a failed line card and the stand-by line card via electrical connection elements.

A walk-the-chain (WTC) command having the first GID and the first CID is issued to a first linked list processor. The first linked list processor is configured to access one or more nodes of the first context in an attempt to dequeue the first node from the first context. An enqueue command having the first GID and the second CID is issued to a second linked list processor. The second linked list processor is configured to insert the first node to the second context. The first and second linked list processors are cascaded to form a pipeline.
