Abstract: A method and arrangement for enabling a mobile terminal user currently roaming in a visited mobile network, to execute a purchase by means of an SMS payment mechanism. An SMS message containing a purchase request is received from the mobile terminal. After detecting that the SMS message is addressed to an external SMS center in a home mobile network different from the visited one, the address of the external SMS center in the SMS message is changed into the address of an internal SMS center in the visited network. The modified SMS message is then routed towards the internal SMS center where the purchase can be confirmed if a called number in the message matches a product/service provider registered as being authorized to offer said SMS payment mechanism.

Abstract: In one aspect of the invention, a mobile node (MN) participates in a first return routability procedure with a home agent (HA) and a correspondent node (CN), including generating a first binding management key (Kbm). A first proof of knowledge (PoK) is generated by hashing the first Kbm. The MN participates in a second return routability procedure, including generating a second Kbm. A first binding update and binding acknowledgement (BU/BA) key is generated by hashing the second Kbm and the first PoK. A first binding update (BU) message is transmitted to the CN, where the second BU message is transmitted with the first BU/BA key. In response to a first binding acknowledgement (BA) message received from the CN, the MN authenticates the first BA message using the first BU/BA key.

Abstract: A tangible computer readable medium includes instructions executable by a processor to cause the processor to communicate with a multicast alert server to receive a multicast emergency alert message via a multicast-enabled network of an Internet Protocol television system. The multicast emergency alert message includes data related to a location code and data related to a set-top box action. The computer program further includes instructions to execute the set-top box action when the location code matches location information stored at a set-top box device.

Abstract: Methods and arrangements in a first node for requesting a status report from a second node. The first node and the second node are both comprised within a wireless communication system. The status report comprises positive and/or negative acknowledgement of data sent from the first node, to be received by the second node. The methods comprises the steps of: detecting if any data units have been lost during the transmission, generating a status report, based on the made detection concerning lost data units, buffering the generated status report in a buffer, updating the buffered status report when a change concerning lost data units is detected, receiving a trigger for sending a status report to the second node, and transmitting the status report to the second node, as a response to the received trigger.

Abstract: Method and apparatus in a user terminal (200) for controlling the admission of outgoing communications. One or more communication admission rules (206a) are created locally in a communication admission controller (206) in the terminal, according to configuring input commands dictating when outgoing communications should be admitted or rejected. When an input unit (202) receives an input request from a current terminal user for an outgoing communication, the communication admission rules are checked. A communication request unit (210) sends a communication request message towards a used communication services network if the requested outgoing communication can be admitted according to the communication admission rules. Abstract: Social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Orkut, are changing our communication habits by introducing new tools that simplify and increase on-line interaction. The exemplary embodiments present methods for measuring the social strength among contacts on the basis of users' on-line interactions, which may be significantly used in real-time collaborative task management (e.g., inviting contacts for collaboration, selecting suitable tools for communication, prioritizing information flow). Moreover, exemplary embodiments provide a framework for developing new mobile social networking applications (social search client, smart dialer or contact applications) by extending the use of social ranking of contacts.

Abstract: Measurement handling is of interest in a user equipment (UE) in connected mode, with the UE being configured with multiple downlink component carriers (CCs). The UE evaluates the signal quality of a specific CC of the configured CCs against a configurable threshold to determine the need for neighbor cell measurements. The UE performs neighbor cell measurements if the signal quality of the specific CC is below the configurable threshold. In this way, robust and efficient measurement handling is provided, even though the UE is configured with multiple component carriers.

Abstract: A system, method and node of providing identity correlation for an Over The Top (OTT) service in a telecommunications network. The method includes the steps of providing user information to a database associated with the OTT service and sending an identification cookie to a User Equipment (UE) of the user. The UE may then request access to a web site. The identification cookie within the UE is read and correlated with the user information stored in the database. Data from the web site is then presented to the UE based on the user information.

Abstract: A system and method for detecting and locating a radio frequency emitter. A number, N, of receiving units using the same bandwidth, center frequency, and measurement time duration receive signals from the emitter. Higher Order Statistics (HOS) are used to calculate a correlation function between the received signals using one of the received signals as a reference. Results of the correlation function are used to form volumes of probabilities in a subset of an N?1 dimensional space of information regarding the location of the emitter. Each correlation function result in the subset corresponds to a single point in physical space.
