Abstract: Examples of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a body portion of a golf club head may include a front portion. A face portion may be coupled to the front portion. The face portion may include a central strike portion and a perimeter. A plurality of projections may extend from the face portion to provide a ball striking surface for impacting a golf ball. The plurality of projections may be aligned in one or more directions across the face portion and may progressively increase in size in any direction from the central strike portion to the perimeter of the face portion. Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for personalized controlling of an air temperature in a vehicle. A computer implemented method for personalized controlling of an air temperature in a vehicle comprises determining, by a processor, a current temperature condition in the vehicle, wherein the current temperature condition in the vehicle is determined based on at least a temperature value that is representative for a current thermal environment in a compartment of the vehicle. The processor further determines a basal metabolic rate that is associated with a person located in the compartment of the vehicle and controlling, by the processor, a desired air temperature in the vehicle, wherein the desired air temperature is controlled based on the determined current temperature condition in the vehicle and the determined basal metabolic rate.
Abstract: Embodiments of the subject matter disclosed herein relate to controlling engine operating points and power for full throttle command in an off-highway vehicle, such as a diesel electric haul truck, to increase fuel efficiency. In one example, a system includes an engine and a controller. The controller is configured to determine a target engine horsepower and associated target engine speed, command the engine to operate at a first engine speed above the target engine speed, adjust a load placed on the engine to reach the target engine speed, and command the engine to operate at a second engine speed to reach the target engine horsepower.

Abstract: An automotive vehicle includes at least one sensor configured to detect features in a region proximate the exterior of the vehicle, at least one actuator configured to control vehicle steering, propulsion, shifting, or braking, and an automated driving system selectively operable in a nominal mode and in a degraded mode. The automated driving system is configured to generate an actuator control signal for the at least one actuator in response to sensor signals from the at least one sensor. The automated driving system includes a computational accelerator processor. The vehicle further includes a monitor processor in communication with the automated driving system. The monitor processor is configured to provide a test input for processing by the computational accelerator processor, receive a test output from the computational accelerator processor, and in response to the test output not satisfying a validation criterion, control the automated driving system in the degraded mode.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a management console enabling monitoring of distributed components of a process control application. The management console includes a management console window that can be customized according to one or more user-defined software code modules that interface to data sources to populate views supported by the console window. Abstract: A system and method for improving radio performance through automatic channel selection utilizing a closed-channel model is disclosed. A measurement engine records maximum user throughput on a per station basis during normal traffic operation. The measurement engine further records throughput metrics based on test traffic sent to all associated stations during idle operation. A policy logic engine utilizes the measurements to determine an optimal transmission channel for transmission and receipt of data.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to vehicle fuel systems capable of isolating the energy within a fuel tank from the vehicle user. An exemplary fuel system may include a first valve located within a fuel inlet conduit and a second valve located within a vapor recovery recirculation line of the fuel system. The first and second valves may be controlled based on the pressure inside a fuel tank of the fuel system. Fuel may only be transferred into the fuel tank when the fuel tank is within a predefined threshold pressure range. A depressurization sequence of the fuel tank may be automatically initiated when a fuel door of the fuel system is moved to an open position. The positioning of the fuel door may be monitored by a fuel door position monitoring device.
