The GUI may also include a second portion that displays an image related to detection and ranging information of the location. The two images may be linked such that an interaction with an object in one portion of the GUI causes changes in the other portion of the GUI. Other embodiments may be described or claimed.

Abstract: A device, system, and/or method for reducing friction required to rotate a tubular within an elevator during the process of running tubulars in an oil and gas well are provided. An elevator roller insert may be used in conjunction with an elevator, such as a single joint elevator. Such an insert may comprise upper and lower rollers which are positioned on upper and lower roller sets or a combination roller set containing multiple upper and/or lower rollers. The result is the provision of a plurality of rollers which bear the weight of a tubular yet still allow the tubular to rotate rather freely, facilitating the maintenance of proper thread integrity of the connections while making up a stand to a string of tubulars as well as preventing the loss of resources due to galled or crushed threads or a tubing segment or stand falling to the rig floor.

The first adapter module is configured to receive a fiber optic connector at each port. Some type of connectors may be formed as duplex connector arrangements. Some types of adapters may include ports without media reading interfaces. Some types of media reading interfaces include contact members having three contact sections.

Abstract: A smoke inhalation apparatus may include a cartridge having a release device configured to release a substance, a controller configured to control the operation of the release device, and a communication device configured to allow a user to change and monitor settings of the smoke inhalation apparatus and/or a state of the smoke inhalation apparatus. The communication device may include a display configured to indicate usage of the smoke inhalation apparatus. The communication device may be configured to reprogram the controller to operate according to a modified usage limit different than an initial usage limit.

Abstract: A bottle may have varying depth ribs to achieve a balance of strength and rigidity while maintaining hoop strength. The varying depth ribs may smoothly transition around the circumference of the bottle from a flattened and/or shallow depth rib portion to a deep rib portion. A collection of flattened and/or shallow depth ribs act as recessed columns in the body of the bottle to resist bending, leaning, crumbling, and/or stretching. The deep rib portions provide hoop strength and make the bottle body more rigid and/or stiffer when gripped by a user. A balance may be achieved between of flattened and/or shallow depth ribs and deep ribs to attain a desired resistance to bending, leaning, and/or stretching while maintaining stiffness in a lightweight bottle.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a coolant cap mix-up prevention system for a motor vehicle. In one example, a motor vehicle includes a first coolant bottle configured for use with a first cap and a second coolant bottle configured for use with a second cap. The second coolant bottle is configured prevent attachment of the first cap to the second coolant bottle. A method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of producing a metal form containing dispersed aerogel particles impregnated with polymers comprising a method of impregnating an aerogel with polymers, placing the aerogel impregnated with polymers within a dissolved polymer, cooling the dissolved polymer to create a polymer form with dispersed aerogel particles impregnated with polymers, adding molten metal to the polymer form, vaporizing the polymer form, replacing the polymer form with molten metal, and cooling the molten metal to yield a metal form containing dispersed aerogel particles impregnated with polymers. Dispersing the aerogel particles impregnated with polymers within the polymer form prior to adding molten metal allows the aerogel particles to be fully dispersed throughout the metal form.

Abstract: To address the issues of handling conversations with multiple users, an intelligent digital assistant system is provided. The system may include at least one microphone configured to receive an audio input, a speaker configured to emit an audio output, and a processor. The processor may be configured engage in a conversation with a first user, and, concurrent with the first user being engaged in the conversation with the system, recognize speech of one or more additional users in the audio input. The processor may process the recognized speech of the one or more additional users to determine a context for each additional user, and execute a conversation disentanglement module to select and perform one or more predetermined conversation disentanglement actions according to the context of the recognized speech of each additional user.

Abstract: Systems and methods to identify an attention region in sensor-based detection involve obtaining a detection result that indicates one or more detection areas where one or more objects of interest are detected. The detection result is based on using a first detection algorithm. The method includes obtaining a reference detection result that indicates one or more reference detection areas where one or more objects of interest are detected. The reference detection result is based on using a second detection algorithm. The method also includes identifying the attention region as one of the one or more reference detection areas without a corresponding one or more detection areas. The first detection algorithm is used to perform detection in the attention region.

Abstract: A system and method for preventing unauthorized inmate to inmate communications comprises establishing a video conferencing session between a first device and a second device. Video content is extracted from video conferencing session data received from the second device. One or more artifacts are identified in the video content. The artifacts indicate that a third device is a source of at least a portion of the video content. The artifacts comprise at least three layers of objects in the video content, wherein the layers are associated with different rates of variation in linear measurements of the objects. In other embodiments, multiple backgrounds are detected in the video conferencing session data.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a touch-sensitive display, one or more processors, and one or more motion sensors. The touch-sensitive display detects touch input at a surface of the touch-sensitive display, with the touch input identifying a user input command requesting performance of a control operation. The one or more motion sensors determine whether the electronic device moves in three-dimensional space while the touch input is occurring. The one or more processors preclude execution of the control operation in response to the touch input where the electronic device moved in the three-dimensional space while the touch input was occurring, thereby preventing control operations in response to inadvertent touching when the electronic device is being picked up or moved.

Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for uplink synchronization in time division multiple access (TDMA) satellite network. In one embodiment, an earth-based satellite terminal is configured to communicate with a satellite hub through a satellite using the TDMA communication protocol. The earth-based satellite terminal is configured to determine its own location, a location of the satellite, estimate a distance between the location of the terminal and the location of the satellite, determine a Coarse Timing Advance based on the distance that is estimated, and transmit data to the satellite based on the Coarse Timing Advance and the TDMA communication protocol. The Coarse Timing Advance may allow uplink TDMA communication without a preamble transmission on a random access channel, the preamble transmission being required in many conventional systems.
