    Abstract: Methods and devices for decoding a video stream are provided, a method includes storing previously decoded pictures of the video stream in a picture buffer, including a first plurality of pictures of a same temporal sub-layer, the first plurality of pictures including at least one sub-layer reference picture for predicting a current picture of the video stream; determining whether a picture of the first plurality of pictures is a sublayer non-reference (“SLNR”) picture based on an indicator presented in at least one from among a slice header and a picture header; removing, based on the picture being determined as the SLNR picture, the SLNR picture from the picture buffer; and predicting the current picture using one or more of the at least one sub-layer reference picture that is stored within the picture buffer after removing the SLNR picture from the picture buffer.

    Abstract: A combination of an alternating stack and a memory opening fill structure is provided over a substrate. The alternating stack includes insulating layers and electrically conductive layers. The memory opening fill structure vertically extends through the alternating stack, and includes a memory film, a vertical semiconductor channel, and a core structure comprising a core material. A phase change material is employed for the core material. A volume expansion is induced in the core material by performing an anneal process that induces a microstructural change within the core material. The volume expansion in the core material induces a lateral compressive strain and a vertical tensile strain within the vertical semiconductor channel. The vertical tensile strain enhances charge mobility in the vertical semiconductor channel, and increases the on-current of the vertical semiconductor channel.

    Abstract: A joist for a formwork grid construction component system is disclosed. Typical joists (sometimes referred to as secondary beams) span a distance of approximately six feet (when fully connected). By strengthening the joist using an altered profile while maintaining interoperable external dimensions, the span distance may be increased. That is, by forming the joists with the disclosed profile, joists can be made longer (e.g., have an eight foot connected span) and maintain appropriate strength or even have an increased weight tolerance. Formwork grid systems are used in construction of buildings and other structures. Interoperability with existing components is maintained by the disclosed joist profile adhering to the same external functional form factor as existing joists. The external form factor being the same allows joists constructed in accordance with this disclosure to properly function with existing formwork grid construction components.
