Abstract: An aerification system for controlling moisture content and gas exchange below a surface of one or more plant growing areas includes at least first and second sub-systems installed below the surface of the one or more plant growing areas. The first and second sub-systems each having a water permeable layer overlying a respective water impermeable layer, where the water impermeable layer defines a respective boundary of each of the first and second sub-systems. The system also includes at least one conduit connecting the water permeable layer of the first sub-system to the water permeable layer of the second sub-system, and at least one pumping system for pumping water therebetween. The pumping system is configured to alternate between pumping water to the first sub-system and the second sub-system in order to periodically raise and lower a water level in the water permeable layer of each of the first and second sub-systems.

Abstract: An improvement to a turbocharger having a housing (10) with a slot (25) located along a midline of the housing (10) above the turbine wheel (29) and a tongue (15) defining the end of an initial inlet throat area (11) of the housing (10), the slot (25) permitting inlet exhaust gas which flows past the tongue (15) to flow into the turbine wheel (29), the improvement being a pivoting vane (50) aligned with the slot (25) and having an upstream end (55) located at a downstream end (57) of the tongue (15). When the vane (50) is in its fully closed position (60), the inlet exhaust gas is prevented from flowing into the slot (25) and, therefore, the turbine wheel (29), until the inlet exhaust gas passes the downstream end (57) of the vane (50). The vane (50) effectively extends the tongue (15) to define a revised inlet throat area (12). The A/R ratio of the housing (10) progressively varies as the vane (50) pivots between the fully opened (70) and fully closed (60) positions.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a trigger assembly and related method for a firearm (e.g., an AR, SR-25, or M4 style rifle, or another type of firearm). The trigger assembly minimizes inadvertent discharge of the firearm by blocking the trigger from rearward pivoting until pressure is applied to the center portion of the trigger. The system and method employ a configuration wherein a camming surface is engaged with a machined portion of the lower receiver once the trigger assembly is connected to the lower receiver via a pivot that extends through the trigger assembly and at least a portion of the lower receiver.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for facilitating tray management by determining at least one missing tool from the plurality of tools placed in tray. The tray management system (TMS) is connected to a weighing system to measure combined weight of tools before and after usage of tools. The combined weight of the tools is measured after at least one tool is removed for usage from the tray or placed back in the tray and a weight discrepancy is determined dynamically. Using the weight discrepancy, image sensor captures plurality of video segments. The TMS identifies occurrences of removing at least one tool from the tray and the corresponding occurrence of placing the tool in the tray in video segments and determines missing tool in the tray. The TMS alerts the user about the missing of tools in real time and enables effective tray management.
