Abstract: This document describes methods, devices, systems, and means for alerting a user equipment, UE, to an overcrowding situation by network entity, the network entity storing UE identifiers and region identifiers, already known to the network entity, for multiple UEs and for each region identifier, determining a number of UEs in a spatial region associated with the region identifier. The network entity compares comparing the determined number of UEs with a region identifier to a first threshold value. If the determined number of UEs in the spatial region exceeds the first threshold value, the network entity transmits a first message including a warning message indicator to UEs in the spatial region, the warning message indicator providing an indication of warning message parameters and, based on the warning message parameters, broadcasts a second message to the UEs in the spatial region.

Abstract: Additive manufacturing methods use a surrogate slurry to iteratively develop an additive manufacturing protocol and then substitutes a final slurry composition to then additively manufacture a final component using the developed additive manufacturing protocol. In the nuclear reactor component context, the final slurry composition is a nuclear fuel slurry having a composition: 30-45 vol. % monomer resin, 30-70 vol. % plurality of particles of uranium-containing material, >0-7 vol. % dispersant, photoactivated dye, photoabsorber, photoinitiator, and 0-18 vol. % (as a balance) diluent. The surrogate slurry has a similar composition, but a plurality of surrogate particles selected to represent a uranium-containing material are substituted for the particles of uranium-containing material. The method provides a means for in-situ monitoring of characteristics of the final component during manufacture as well as in-situ volumetric inspection.

Abstract: A system for imaging using entangled photons includes an optical source that generates a set of four entangled photons correlated in time, such that detection of any one pair of the four entangled photons indicates that all four of the entangled photons are entangled. The optical source couples a first photon to a first path, a second photon to a second path, a third photon to a third path, and a fourth photon to a fourth path. A first detector detects the first photon of the set of four entangled photons. An object positioned at an object plane produces a modulation of the first photon. A spatial sampler detects the second photon. A second detector detects the third photon. A third detector detects the fourth photon. A first coincidence detector determines a coincidence between a detection of the first photon of the set of four entangled photons and a detection of the third photon of the set of four entangled photons.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that perform heart rate variability detection using a hearable. A hearable, such as an earbud, is capable of performing a novel physiological monitoring process termed herein audioplethysmography, which is an active acoustic method capable of sensing subtle physiologically-related changes observable at a user's outer and middle ear. Instead of relying on other auxiliary sensors, such as optical or electrical sensors, audioplethysmography involves transmitting and receiving acoustic signals to monitor a user's biometrics, including heart rate variability and/or blood pressure. In addition to being relatively unobtrusive, some hearables can be configured to support audioplethysmography without the need for additional hardware. As such, the size, cost, and power usage of the hearable can help make health monitoring accessible to a larger group of people and improve the user experience with hearables.

Abstract: During a light load (or no-load) operation of a totem pole power factor correction circuit (i.e., PFC), a pulse width modulation (PWM) controller can operate in a skip mode. Further, the PWM controller may disable portions of the PFC to reduce standby power consumption. In this mode, and in this disabled configuration, the output of the PFC may be peak charged over time to a voltage that could be damaging or destructive. This peak charging results from the PFC circuit's inability to fully charge/discharge EMI capacitors between half cycles of the input line voltage. The present disclosure provides circuits and methods to fully charge/discharge the EMI capacitors to prevent peak charging the output.
