Abstract: A media server uses selective just-in-time (“JIT”) transcoding of media such as video. For example, the media server determines a measure of complexity of a given segment of a given media sequence. The given segment has been encoded at a base bit rate. The media server evaluates a complexity condition for the given segment. As part of evaluating the complexity condition, the media server compares the measure of complexity to a complexity threshold. Based at least in part on whether the complexity condition is satisfied, the media server selects between use of preemptive transcoding and use of JIT transcoding for the given segment at a given target bit rate. In this way, the media server can selectively incur the cost of preemptive transcoding operations for the given segment if JIT transcoding would likely introduce unacceptable delay, and the media server can otherwise use JIT transcoding operations for the given segment.

Abstract: A method of processing mixed-material vehicle scrap includes conditioning the mixed-material vehicle scrap and heating the mixed-material vehicle scrap. The mixed-material vehicle scrap comprises a first group of parts and a second group of parts. The first group of parts includes a first alloy and the second group of parts has a substrate of a second alloy and a coating disposed over the substrate. The mixed-material vehicle scrap is conditioned such that an element of the second alloy is diffused into the coating to form a diffused coating. The diffused coating has a melting temperature greater than a melting temperature of the first alloy. The mixed-material vehicle scrap is heated to a temperature above the melting temperature of the first alloy and below the melting temperature of the diffused coating, thereby allowing the second group of parts to separate from the first group of parts.

Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting fraudulent browser extensions are described herein. In some aspects, the system may retrieve a first unique identifier corresponding to a browser extension associated with a beacon and retrieve a second unique identifier associated with an embedded frame in a new browser extension. The system may determine whether the new browser extension is a spoofed version of the browser extension based on whether the first identifier of the browser extension matches the second identifier of the new browser extension. In response to determining that the new browser extension is spoofed, the system may execute an application programming interface (API) function to transmit a notification to an external server. The API function can be configured to generate information to include in the notification regarding the new browser extension. This allows the system to identify spoofed browser extensions and transmit a notification accordingly.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for determining classifications based on WSIs. A varied-size feature map is generated for each training WSI by generating a grid of patches for the training WSI, segmenting the training WSI into tissue and non-tissue areas, and converting patches comprising the tissue areas into tensors. Bounding boxes are generated based on the patches comprising tissue areas and segmented into feature map patches. A fixed-size feature map is generated based on a subset of the feature map patches. A classifier model is trained to process fixed-size feature maps corresponding to the training WSIs such that, for each fixed-size feature map, the classifier model is operable to assign a WSI-level tissue or cell morphology classification or regression based on the tensors. A classification engine is configured to use the trained classifier model to determine a WSI-level tissue or cell morphology classification or regression for a test WSI.

Abstract: A method for conditioning and maintaining power with predictive load compensation using an uninterruptible power supply system is disclosed. The method includes measuring an electrical input from a primary power supply using analog sensors and transmitting the input through an impedance to introduce a controlled delay. During the delay, input parameters and downstream system effects are determined based on telemetry sensor data. Digital identities are generated for the electrical input and the downstream load and compared to a stored digital identity representing historical conditions. Using the comparison, a system simulation is performed with analog twinning to predict downstream system responses. The predicted response is used to adjust a power converter parameter, modifying the electrical input to an intermediate output that compensates for voltage fluctuations and harmonic distortions.
