Abstract: A method includes transmitting a first wireless communication from a user device via an authorized first cellular network. The first wireless communication includes a current geographic location of the user device. The user device maintains a forbidden list identifying unauthorized cellular networks. Based on determining that the user device is approaching a geofence between a first network coverage area of the first cellular network and a second network coverage area of a second cellular network that is identified on the forbidden list, the method includes removing the second cellular network from the forbidden list. With the second cellular network removed from the forbidden list and based on the user device entering the second network coverage area, the method includes transmitting a second wireless communication from the user device via the second cellular network that includes an updated geographic location of the user device.

Abstract: Planning, or path finding is one of many tasks performed by an autonomous vehicle (AV). Planning involves searching for and updating an optimal plan from a current pose to an end pose while avoiding obstacles. Planning can be particularly challenging in driving scenarios involving complex driving maneuvers, such as parking, making a U-turn, making a K-turn, etc. Searching for an optimal plan may take more time, e.g., a few seconds, in certain driving scenarios. Consumers of the plan may have a low tolerance for delay in receiving the optimal plan. A relay can be implemented to publish the latest plan to the consumers at a frequency. The relay can check whether the delay violates a dynamic threshold and raise an error accordingly. The searching process can be improved to reduce the delay in finding an optimal plan.

Abstract: Techniques for pseudo real-time content-aware auditory cleansing are described herein. A method for pseudo real-time content-aware auditory cleansing may include introducing a delay in the delivery of an audio file by an audio delivery system, collecting a sample of the audio file, predicting the presence of a sibilance and other unwanted sounds in the sample, cleansing the sample of the sibilance and other unwanted sounds, and outputting a cleansed version of the sample. The delay corresponds to a length of the sample. Cleansing the sample may include one or more of a gain reduction, an equalization adjustment, a replacement, and removal of the sibilance and other unwanted sounds.

Abstract: A method for authenticating the identity of a user who is attempting to access a website or conduct a transaction is described. The method involves receiving two geographical locations, and associated time stamps, of a mobile phone associated with the user, one of the locations being the location of the transaction or access attempt. The method determines whether the speed required to travel between the two geographical locations in the elapsed time is within acceptable limits. A confidence score, derived in part from this calculation, is taken into account when deciding whether to allow or deny the access or the transaction.
