Abstract: Systems as described herein may implement non-persistent data caching using a dedicated web server. A non-persistent data caching system may determine that an application, executing on a computing device may require access to secure data located on a remote server external to the computing device. The non-persistent data caching system may initiate a dedicated web server on the computing device, retrieve the secure data from the remote server, and store the secure data in a volatile memory of the computing device. The non-persistent data caching system may subsequently redirect a request for at least a portion of the secure data from the application and to the dedicated web server, and the dedicated web server may send the requested portion to the application.

Abstract: A carton for containing plurality of articles. The carton can comprise a plurality of panels that extends at least partially around an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels can comprise a side panel. A plurality of end flaps can be respectively foldably connected to respective panels of the plurality of panels. The plurality of end flaps can at least partially form a closed end of the carton, and the plurality of end flaps can comprise a side end flap. A bevel panel can extend along a corner of the carton so that the side end flap is at least partially connected to the side panel by the bevel panel. The bevel panel can comprise features that are shaped and located at the corner according to geometric aspects of one or more articles of the plurality of articles.

Abstract: Disclosed here are various embodiments to evaluate a device and present a price quote to the user by detecting a presence of a device in proximity to a wireless charger. The system can utilize a wireless charger to obtain information about the device while charging the device. The information can include the make of the device. The system can guide the user to navigate the device to provide additional information such as model, memory capacity, unique identifier, and carrier associated with the device. Based on the unique identifier, the system can determine whether device has been stolen. If the device has not been stolen, the system can determine a price based on information obtained from the device and can facilitate presenting the price to the user. If the user accepts the price, the system can facilitate purchase of the device.

Abstract: A motor oil change system includes refillable motor oil containers and one or more motor oil refill systems. Each of the one or more oil refill systems includes a user interface configured to receive data that allows for determination of a type and an amount of motor oil for a refill. The motor oil change system further includes a dispenser configured to dispense the motor oil into one of the refillable motor oil containers based on the determination.

Abstract: A request to install a first version of a software application is received. The first version of the software application is stored in a first blockchain in a first distributed blockchain ledger. In response to receiving the request to install the first version of the software application, the first version of the software application is validated by running a hash of the first blockchain. In response to validating the first version of the software application, the first version of the software application is installed from the blockchain to a device. The software application may also be validated after being installed to the device.

Abstract: Field calibration of a pressure device involves collecting simultaneous pressure data or pressure and temperature data at two devices for multiple time points. Pressure differences between pairs of simultaneous data points of the collected pressure data are calculated. A model is fitted to the pressure differences and the temperatures and/or pressures, and model parameters are used to correct measurements from the second device. Alternatively, a pressure gradient is estimated for a region that encompasses the two devices for each time point. A distance is determined between the two devices. A pressure gradient difference is determined between the two devices for each time point. A pressure difference offset is obtained for one of the pairs of simultaneous data points for each time point. An average pressure difference offset is determined between the two devices and is used to correct measurements from one of the devices.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a device and method for displaying an unlock code for a lock upon lock related indicia being detected by a mobile communications device. The lock related indicia can be captured via a camera of the mobile communications device. In various embodiments, the unlock code can be revealed via an augmented reality display of the mobile communications device.

Abstract: In an aspect, an electronic device can include a substrate, a semiconductor layer overlying the substrate and including a mesa adjacent to a trench, and a doped region within the semiconductor layer. The doped region extends across an entire width of the mesa and contacts the lowermost point of the trench. A charge pocket can be located between an elevation of the peak concentration of the doped region and an elevation of the upper surface of the substrate. In another aspect, a process includes patterning a semiconductor layer to define a trench, forming a sacrificial layer within the trench, removing the sacrificial layer from a bottom of the trench, doping a portion of the semiconductor layer that is along the bottom of the trench while a remaining portion of the sacrificial layer is along a sidewall of the trench.

Abstract: An active mattress encasement which can be relatively easily installed or removed or rotated over a mattress supported by a foundation is disclosed. The encasement is formed to encapsulate a mattress and may include a top panel, a bottom panel and multiple side panels. One or more of the side panels are zippered together. An inflatable volume is formed at least in part from at least a portion of the bottom panel. The inflatable volume includes an air inlet configured to be in communication with an external air supply that delivers air into the inflatable volume. The inflatable volume also includes one or more air discharge holes configured to discharge air from the inflatable volume.

Abstract: One example provides a computing system comprising a depth sensor comprising a plurality of pixels, and a storage machine holding instructions executable by a logic machine to, for each pixel, make K phase measurements to form a set of noisy phase measurements, determine a location at which a projection line that passes through the set of noisy phase measurements in a K-dimensional phase space passes through a lower dimensional plane, the projection line being parallel to a noise free phase evolution line, compare the location to a plurality of independent terms of a predetermined matrix of points in the lower dimensional plane, locate a corresponding set of noiseless phase orders by using a selected set of independent terms to reference a look-up table, determine a distance value for the pixel based upon the corresponding set of noiseless phase orders, and output the distance value for the pixel.

This may result in an alternate billing option for the customer's use of the system. Further, a telecommunications network administrator may provide access to the collaboration conferencing system based on a total number of concurrently utilized ports rather than on a per conference or per minute basis. With the information of the number of purchased ports by the customer, the administrator may more accurately predict an available capacity for the collaboration conferencing system needed to support all of the users of the system and the potential collaboration conferences.

Abstract: Provided are separation systems and related methods for use in processing organic polymeric feed materials—such as plastics—to form pyrolysis oil. The disclosed systems can be operated in a continuous manner and utilize novel liquid-solid separation techniques integrated with a novel condensing approach so as to operate in a product-efficient and an energy-efficient manner.

Abstract: A pillow includes a first pillow cushion consisting essentially of a gelatinous elastomer that is sized and configured to support a head and neck of a person using the pillow cushion and a second pillow cushion coupled thereto. The pillow cushion has deformable wall members located and configured to define voids therebetween such that the deformable wall members may be displaced into adjacent voids upon deformation of the deformable wall members. The deformable wall members are configured to buckle when a pressure applied to a cushioning surface of the first pillow cushion, in a direction perpendicular to a first major surface, exceeds a threshold pressure level. A pillow cover covers the first pillow cushion and the second pillow cushion. A method of fabricating a pillow includes enclosing such first and second pillow cushions in a pillow cover.

Abstract: A dispatch advisor to assist in selecting operating conditions of a power plant that maximizes operational revenue is described. The dispatch advisor obtains a base load map for operating the power plant to meet base load power demands. The base load map includes a primary base load operating space for attaining target plant power output and efficiency, and an expanded base load portion for attaining higher plant power output and less than optimal efficiency. Both the primary base load operating space and the expanded base load portion associate power output and efficiency values of the power plant that result from a subset of operational parameter values for operating the power plant during base load. The dispatch advisor can transform the flexible base load map into one or more visualizations describing the revenue possibilities associated with operating the power plant based on operating values and attained power output and efficiency.

Abstract: A composition is described herein that includes a polysiloxane, a silicon based crosslinker, a reinforcement filler, a vulcanization catalyst, and a repair-enabling filler. Methods of using such a composition are also described.
