Abstract: An insulating container can be configured to retain a volume of liquid, and include a canister having a first inner wall having a first end having an opening extending into an internal reservoir, and a second outer wall forming an outer shell. The opening can be sealed by a spout adapter, the spout adapter having a spout channel extending between the internal reservoir and a spout opening, smaller than the opening of the canister. The spout opening may be sealed with a cap having a magnetic top surface, and the spout adapter may be further removably coupled to a lid that may be used as a cup into which a volume of the liquid can be poured.

Abstract: A power converter circuit may include a control circuit configured to generate a drive signal for rendering a semiconductor switch conductive and non-conductive to generate a bus voltage across a bus capacitor. The control circuit may adjust a minimum operating period of the drive signal to a first value when an output power of the power converter circuit is greater than a first threshold and to a second value when the output power is less than a second threshold. The control circuit may comprise a comparator that generates the drive signal in response to a sense voltage and a threshold voltage. When operating in a standby mode, the control circuit may adjust a magnitude of the threshold voltage based on an instantaneous magnitude of an alternating-current line voltage received by the power converter circuit, such that an input current drawn by the power converter circuit is sinusoidal.

Abstract: Techniques for interactively determining/visualizing the color content of a source image and how the corresponding image data is mapped to device colors are described herein. For example, the color content of a digital image can be converted between different color spaces to identify gamut limitations of an output device (e.g., a printing assembly), discover color(s) that cannot be accurately reproduced, etc. Color space conversions enable the transformation of the color content of the digital image from device-specific colorants to a device-independent representation (and vice versa). In some embodiments, these transformations are facilitated using lookup tables that are implemented in graphical processing unit-resident memory.

Abstract: A bipole power transmission scheme includes a first converter station positioned in-use remote from a second converter station, and first and second transmission conduits to in-use interconnect the first converter station with the second converter station and thereby permit the first converter station to transmit power to the second converter station. The first converter station includes a first power converter, a second power converter, and a converter station controller which is programmed to selectively transition the bipole power transmission scheme into an asymmetrical monopole configuration, while maintaining the transfer of power from both the first and second power sources.

Abstract: A realty virtual application for agents and clients. Agents and clients enter information into the application on their personal devices, and this information is stored on a central database. The application runs algorithms to find properties based on client preferences, and presents them to the agent in a report. The agent then sends these properties to the client through the application, and the client may accept or deny potential showing times. The client may also send messages to the agent, or give feedback or rate the property through the application. The client may share the property with friends or family through the application.

Abstract: An advisory module may include processing circuitry configured to receive data indicative of internal factors and external factors related to route optimization of a combined route of a subject. The combined route may include an air segment and a ground segment, and at least some of the external factors may include dynamic parameters that are changeable while the air segment or ground segment is being transited by the subject to a ground objective. The processing circuitry may be further configured to generate a guidance option to deliver the subject to the ground objective based on integration of the internal factors and the external factors to optimize a route to the ground objective, and provide a graphical representation of the guidance option along with comparative data or context information associated with the route.

Abstract: Lost wax casting bonding methods and systems. A method for bonding a wax component in a feeder system for a lost wax casting process comprises embedding conductive nano-particles in wax to form a sacrificial susceptor. The method includes coupling the wax component to another component such that the sacrificial susceptor is at an interface of the wax component and the other component. The method comprises inductively heating the sacrificial susceptor to cause the wax of the sacrificial susceptor and at least a portion of wax of the wax component to melt to thereby form a bond between the wax component and the other component.

Abstract: A system and method provide automatic access to applications or data. A portable physical device, referred to herein as a Personal Digital Key or “PDK”, stores one or more profiles in memory, including a biometric profile acquired in a secure trusted process and uniquely associated with a user that is authorized to use and associated with the PDK. The PDK wirelessly transmits identification information including a unique PDK identification number, the biometric profile and a profile over a secure wireless channel to a reader. A computing device is coupled to the reader. An auto login server is coupled to the reader and the computing device and launches one or more applications associated with a user name identified by the received profile.

Abstract: An interactive video distribution system and video player are described. A client server arrangement may be used for providing a video player and video content to a client device. The video player may display navigation images enabling navigation to specific portions of the video content by activating a corresponding navigation image. The video player may also enable the sharing of a segment of the video with other video players, enabling the video players to play the streamed segment of the video without having to play the entire video, thereby reducing network bandwidth usage. The video player may be embeddable. The server may associate searchable tags with respective video segments.

Abstract: A training dataset that includes a first dataset and a second dataset is received. The first dataset includes a first subset of first videos corresponding to a first context and respective first ground truth quality scores of the first videos, and the second dataset includes a second subset of second videos corresponding to a second context and respective second ground truth quality scores of the second videos. A machine learning model is trained to predict the respective first ground truth quality scores and the respective second ground truth quality scores. Training the model includes training it to obtain a global quality score for one of the videos; and training it to map the global quality score to context-dependent predicted quality scores. The context-dependent predicted quality scores include a first context-dependent predicted quality score corresponding to the first context and a second context-dependent predicted quality score corresponding to the second context.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating training data for sequential conversational responses to alleviate the collection burden are disclosed herein. More specifically, the methods and systems describe generating determining dynamic conversational responses to generate training data for sequential conversation responses. For example, the system creates a special form of a random treatment control experiment to reduce the data collection while at the same time generating effectively adequate learning data for intents for the sequenced machine learning.

Abstract: A global positioning system (GPS)-bias detection and reduction system including a GPS-bias model having GPS statistical data creating a database representing data collected from a vehicle group having thousands or multiple thousands of vehicles saved in a database. At least one newly collected vehicle GPS data point is compared to the GPS statistical data to reduce negative effects of GPS-bias and to update the vehicle GPS-bias correction based on a previous GPS-bias model. A selected road node and a segment of a roadway have a map matching performed using a nearest service from a collection location of the GPS statistical data. A GPS-bias is calculated using a look-up of the database. An estimated horizontal position error (EHPE) defining a quality indicator is applied to distinguish a good quality GPS statistical data from a poor quality GPS statistical data.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method for managing installation of applications, where the method includes receiving, from a first computing device associated with an administrator of an organization, a pin request to attach an application, provided by an application store platform, with a version of the application, initiating, in response to the pin request, transfer of a copy of the version of the application from the application store platform to a data storage device, generating an application identifier that identifies a location of the version of the application stored in the data storage device, and transmitting installation data to a second computing device that is managed by the organization. The installation data includes the application identifier, which is used by the second computing device to install the version of the application from the data storage device.

Abstract: A computing device may determine, based on one or more inputs detected by a presence-sensitive screen, whether at least a threshold amount of liquid is present on the presence-sensitive screen. The computing device may automatically transition the computing device from operating in a first operating mode to operating in a second operating mode responsive to determining that at least the threshold amount of liquid is present. The computing device may discard inputs detected by the presence-sensitive screen while the computing device is operating in the second operating mode.

The device comprises a stent embedded with one or more drug depots that release of a therapeutic agent in a controlled manner. Each end of the stent may contain one or more anchors or attachment points which enable self-retention of the medical device once properly placed. The disclosed device further comprises a biosensor to monitor physiological characteristics like, e.g., intraocular pressure (IOP).

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for detection of a discharge of a projectile from a firearm. An example method for detection of a discharge of a projectile from a firearm may commence with recording environmental audio by at least one microphone associated with at least one electronic device. The method may continue with triggering, by a processing unit associated with the at least one electronic device, based on predetermined triggering criteria, a frequency analysis of the environmental audio. The analysis may be performed to determine a likelihood of the projectile being discharged from the firearm. The method may further include transferring, by a data transfer unit associated with the at least one electronic device, results of the frequency analysis from the at least one electronic device to a data storage unit for post-processing.
