Abstract: In an example embodiment, an apparatus for making pouch products includes a conveyor system. The conveyor system includes a first receiving location along a path of the conveyor system, and a dosing location along the path of the conveyor system. The apparatus also includes a first material dispensing station configured to transfer a first material to the first receiving location. The first material includes a first elastic layer and a first support layer. The first material dispensing station includes a dispenser roller configured to hold a roll of the first material, a plurality of rollers configured to convey the first material from the dispenser roller to the first receiving location, and a stripper plate configured remove at least a portion of the first support layer from a portion of the first elastic layer.

Abstract: Implementations of this disclosure provide an anomaly detection system that automatically tunes parameters of a forecasting detector that detects anomalies in a metric time series. The anomaly detection system may implement a three-stage process where a first stage tunes a historical window parameter, a second stage tunes a current window parameter, and a third stage tunes the number of standard deviation different from historical mean required to trigger an alert. The tuned historical window length determined by the first stage may be provided to the second stage as input. Both the tuned historical window length and the tuned current window length may be provided to the third stage as input as use in determining the tuned number of standard deviations.

Abstract: The present teaching relates to method, system, medium, and implementations for biometric-based authentication. When an input image representing biometric information of a person to be authenticated is received, a feature vector of the input image is generated based on the biometric information captured in the input image via a convolution neural network (CNN) that is realized using one or more linear activation functions. The person is authenticated based on the feature vector in accordance with a biometric-based recognition model.

Abstract: A shingle coating asphalt composition is provided that is produced from a paving grade asphalt. The asphalt composition comprises a paving-grade asphalt that has been modified with one or more polymer additives; and a secondary additive comprising one or more of a viscosity reducing agent, a wax, a salt of a fatty acid ester, and an amide of a fatty acid. The shingle coating asphalt coating composition is used to make a shingle. The shingle includes a substrate, the asphalt, and roofing granules.

Abstract: Disclosed is the technology for computer-based “Daily Brief” service, which includes methods and corresponding systems for proactively providing push notifications for users of chat information systems. The push notifications are dynamically generated and presented to the user based on identification of one or more triggering events, which may include predetermined time/date, current geographical location, activity of peers and friends in social media associated with the user, scheduled events, appointments, meetings, emails, instant messages, and many more. The described technology improves the interaction interface between the user and chat information system.

Abstract: A door hanger system includes a housing and a bearing assembly that includes a cage and plural bearings within the cage. A slider is coupled with the bearing assembly and includes a bearing interface portion disposed within the bearing assembly and a door interface portion that is coupled with a door panel. The slider and the bearing assembly move in a first direction to move the door panel toward a closed position, or in a second direction to move the door panel toward an open position. A reset device is disposed within the bearing assembly and positioned between an end of the housing and the slider. The reset device interferes with the cage to move the cage toward the first end of the housing responsive to the slider moving in the second direction interfering with the reset device.

Abstract: A method for developing content for a personalized non-profit venue experience using a mobile computing device, comprising: providing an interface for management of a set of multimedia assets; receiving a mapping of multimedia assets to a set of locations on a site plan for the non-profit venue; receiving metadata for the set of multimedia assets; receiving personalized interest data indicating personal philanthropic interests of a visitor to the non-profit venue; and applying a machine learning algorithm to analyze the metadata and the personalized interest data to provide, to a mobile computing device, a selection of a multimedia asset from the set of multimedia assets for consumption by the visitor.

Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to interactions, between vehicle computing devices and mobile computing devices, that reduce duplicative processes from occurring at either device. Reduction of such processes can be performed, in some instances, via communications between a vehicle computing device and a mobile computing device in order to determine, for example, how to uniquely render content at an interface of each respective computing device while the user is driving the vehicle. These communications can occur before a user has entered a vehicle, while the user is in the vehicle, and/or after a user has left the vehicle. For instance, just before a user enters a vehicle, a vehicle computing device can be primed for certain automated assistant interactions between the user and their mobile computing device. Alternatively, or additionally, the user can authorize the vehicle computing device to perform certain processes immediately after leaving the vehicle.

The facility may generate training set data and use the training set data to identify parameters indicative of fraudulent traffic to a site and reduce the effect of fraudulent traffic advertisers and publishers. The facility may score the quality of traffic and determine combinations of parameters that are indicative of the quality of traffic to the site. Traffic to the site may be scored based on the combination of parameters associated with the one or more sessions. Lower scores are indicative of traffic having little value to a publisher, advertiser, or third party; higher scores are indicative of traffic having greater value.

Each output value is generated as a function of the subset of the plurality of required binomial coefficient values.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method of implementing service rules for a container cluster that is configured by a first SDN controller cluster. The method registers for event notification from an application programming interface (API) server to receive notification regarding events associated with resources deployed in the container cluster. The method forwards to a second SDN controller cluster resource identifiers collected through the registration for resources of the container cluster. The second SDN controller cluster defines service policies that are not defined by the first SDN controller cluster. The method receives, from the second SDN controller cluster, service policies defined by the second SDN controller cluster based on the resource identifiers. The method distributes service rules defined based on the service policies to network elements in the container cluster to enforce on data messages associated with machines deployed in the container cluster configured by the first SDN controller cluster.

The system may also include a reminder that reminds the user to perform the task via a smart device. Further, the device may be used as a method of preventing or treating migraine headaches by relieving stress and relaxing the user.
