  • Patent number: 11908153
Abstract: A system and method for measuring distances related to a target object depicted in an image. A captured digital image is obtained containing a scene with a target object whose dimension is to be measured. The digital image may contain a target object dimension identified by one or more ancillary objects and a reference object in the same or different planes. Image processing is performed to find the reference object using known fiducial patterns printed on the reference object, metadata supplied by a user and/or by the detection of colored papers in the scene of the captured image. Once located and measured, the reference object is used to calculate a pixel scale factor used to measure the target object dimensions. Target object dimensions are provided to an automated or semi-automated measurement process, design and manufacturing system such that customized parts for a supplemental fenestration are provided to end users.

  • Patent number: 11907542
Abstract: Aspects relate to Input/Output (IO) Memory Management Units (MMUs) that include hardware structures for implementing virtualization. Some implementations allow guests to setup and maintain device IO tables within memory regions to which those guests have been given permissions by a hypervisor. Some implementations provide hardware page table walking capability within the IOMMU, while other implementations provide static tables. Such static tables may be maintained by a hypervisor on behalf of guests. Some implementations reduce a frequency of interrupts or invocation of hypervisor by allowing transactions to be setup by guests without hypervisor involvement within their assigned device IO regions. Devices may communicate with IOMMU to setup the requested memory transaction, and completion thereof may be signaled to the guest without hypervisor involvement. Various other aspects will be evident from the disclosure.

  • Patent number: 11907749
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for implementing direct memory access in a virtualized computing environment. A memory access policy of the virtualized computing environment is applied to a direct memory access connection request received from a first virtual machine via an exception path. The request is flagged to indicate that the request has been processed and the request is forwarded to a network interface device configured to execute offloaded network functions for one or more virtual machines. A memory access policy of the virtualized computing environment is applied to a direct memory access connection reply received from a second virtual machine on the exception path. The reply is flagged to indicate that the reply has been processed and the reply is forwarded to the network interface device. A direct memory access connection is established between first and second virtual machines in accordance with the request.

  • Patent number: 11909280
Abstract: A modular device that can operate as an electrical generator. First and second coil support plates are arranged in parallel orientation relative to each other forming a gap between the first and second coil support plates. Removable C-cores, each having wire coils, are removably attached to the first and second coil support plates. A rotor disc having selectively arranged magnets is disposed in the gap between the first and second coil support plates and is permitted to rotate about an axis that is perpendicular to the rotor disc and the parallel first and second coil support plates; a drive motor can power rotation of the rotor disc. As the disc rotates, electrical current is generated. The C-core assemblies can be interchanged, checked, removed and/or replaced while the electrical generator remains in operation without requiring cessation of such operation.

  • Patent number: 11909753
Abstract: Techniques for fingerprinting and aggregating a virtual private cloud (VPC) flow log stream are provided. Each VPC flow log event in the VPC flow log is first determined to be a request event or a response event. A fingerprint is then generated for each VPC flow log event. The fingerprint for a VPC flow log event is generated based on the determination whether the VPC flow log event is a request event or a response event and by concatenating and encoding data contained in a set of data fields corresponding to the VPC flow log event. Based on the fingerprint generated for each VPC flow log event, related events can be detected and aggregated to form an aggregated event. Information stored with each aggregated event can then be used to better monitor the VPC.
