Abstract: An imaging system may include a plurality of SPAD pixels. Each SPAD pixel may have a SPAD on a first die and reset, quench, and readout circuitry on a second die. The circuitry for a SPAD pixel on the second die may include stacked-transistor structures configured to operate in a high voltage domain and may include readout circuitry configured to operate in a low voltage domain. The stacked-transistor structures may include p-type transistors formed at a same n-type substrate well and sharing a same bulk connection. The stacked-transistor structures may also include n-type transistors formed at a same p-type substrate well and sharing a same bulk connection.

Abstract: A mounting assembly for use in mid-grab and/or edge-grab applications may include a clamp secured to a stanchion by a clamp fastener. The mounting assembly may also include a mounting plate and a base plate that may be secured to a mounting device by the stanchion. The mounting assembly may be used, for example, to secure photovoltaic modules (or other devices or structures) of varying heights to a roof or other building surface and to provide increased lift-off resistance.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium may be executable by a processor to receive a designation of a message bus producer, a set of business logic to be stored in a set of containers, a designation of a message bus consumer, and a designation of a set of message-handling functions. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium may generate a serverless application stack, based upon the message bus producer, the set of business logic, the message bus consumer, and the set of message-handling functions. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium may cause the serverless application stack to receive a message stream from the message bus producer as streaming data, process the message stream according to at least one function, stored in the set of containers, perform at least one message-handling function of the set of message-handling functions on the message stream, and transport the set of messages to the message bus consumer.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for trimming plants is described. Workers place individual plants separating individual plants from plant and non-plant matter. In one embodiment, an air curtain is directed to a falling mixture of plant and non-plant matter. The air directs some of the plant and non-plant material into a waste or recycling bin and permits further processing of individual plants. In another embodiment, individual plants are placed in a trim belt and then passed through a trimming station that trims the individual plants.

The system, method for creating the optical device, and device include a substrate, a plurality of thin film layers provided on the substrate, the plurality of thin film layers including materials creating thin film-specific reflectance spectra based on selected pluralities of materials each having their on respective refractive index, and/or a plurality of colorant layers applied to the plurality of thin film layers, the plurality of colorant layers including at least one colorant, the colorant created based on colorant-specific absorption spectra as defined by selected concentrations.

Abstract: A method for nonintrusive network load generation may include determining available resources in a distributed computing system, where the distributed computing system includes a plurality of computing devices and a target deployment. Based on an amount of available resources between the target deployment and a plurality of source computing devices, the plurality of source computing devices may be selected to generate a network load directed from the plurality of source computing devices to the target deployment. The plurality of source computing devices may be a subset of the plurality of computing devices in the distributed computing system. A network-traffic generator service may be provided to the plurality of source computing devices in order to generate the network load directed from the plurality of source computing devices to the target deployment. The performance of the distributed computing system in response to the generated network load may be monitored.

Abstract: An intelligent charge limit for high voltage battery charging provides increased e-motor regeneration and reduced application of the foundation brake system of an electric vehicle. A plurality of data factors are used to calculate a maximum charge percentage. The maximum charge percentage is used to ensure there is enough charging capacity in a battery to store electrical current generated by an e-motor during downhill travel. The intelligent charge limit also provides an operator of the electric vehicle, the option of changing the charge limit to ensure that the battery receives the maximum electrical current generated by an e-motor, during downhill travel. The operator may also double plug a charging gun to eliminate a state of charge routine from considering offsetting the operator charging percentage by the plurality of data factors.

Abstract: Techniques to improve detection and security of images, including formation and detection of matrix-based images. Some techniques include logic to process image data, generate one or more colorspaces associated with that data, and perform colorspace conversions based on the generated colorspace. The logic may be further configured to generate an image based on the colorspace conversions, including but not limited to a matrix bar code. The logic may be further configured to apply one or both of an ultraviolet layer and an infrared layer to the image, e.g. matrix barcode, generated from the colorspace conversion(s). Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A chaff pan assembly for an agricultural vehicle includes a chaff pan that is moveable between raised and lowered positions. A stationary bracket is mounted to a fixed point on the agricultural vehicle. A linkage interconnects the chaff pan to the stationary bracket and guides movement of the chaff pan between the raised and lowered positions. A locking member is moveably connected to the stationary bracket and is moveable between a locked position, in which the locking member is engaged with one arm of the linkage to prevent movement of the one arm of the linkage, and an unlocked position, in which the locking member is disengaged from the one arm of the linkage to permit movement of the one arm of the linkage.

Abstract: A system for scenario context-aware voice assistant auto-activation is provided. The system includes a microphone configured for providing data related to a word or a phrase spoken by a user, an operational device, and a computerized scenario context-aware voice assistant controller. The controller includes programming to recognize the word or the phrase within the data and identify a scenario context of the word or the phrase. The controller further includes programming to utilize the scenario context to associate the word or the phrase with a scenario context feature trigger configured for indicating a desired command of the user and command the operational device based upon the scenario context feature trigger associated with the word or the phrase.

Abstract: A method for storing data comprises maintaining an address table for a memory space containing volatile memory and nonvolatile memory space. The nonvolatile memory space includes both multi-level cell (MLC) space and single level cell (SLC) space and the volatile memory includes a random access volatile memory element. An address table maps logical and physical addresses adaptable to the system by the address table. The mapping is performed as necessitated by the system to maximize lifetime maps data in at least one of volatile or nonvolatile memories. Storing received data within a controller memory associated with the at least one controller. Controlling access of the MLC and SLC nonvolatile memory elements and the random access volatile memory element for storage of the received data.

Abstract: The invention relates to a connector (1) for data connections, in particular of the RJ type, with a latch element (6) for securing a connection to a counter-connector. In order to simplify a disconnection of the connector (1) and the counter-connector, even when the connection is secured by the latch connection, the invention provides that the connector (1) is provided with a gripping end (5, 5?) that is adapted to transfer the latch element (6) from its latch position (L) and to disconnect the connector (1) from the counter-connector by a single movement.

Abstract: A vehicle configurable to tow a charging trailer having at least one electric outlet configured to charge a battery powered device includes a human-machine interface (HMI), a wireless transceiver, and a controller in communication with the wireless transceiver and the HMI, the controller programmed to, in response to the wireless transceiver receiving signals associated with at least one battery powered device in a connected charging trailer having a battery state of charge (SOC) below a corresponding threshold, signal the HMI to generate an associated output. Input from the HMI may enable or disable regenerative braking of the charging trailer to charge connected battery powered devices to control the associated effect of the charging of devices in the charging trailer on efficiency of the towing vehicle.

Abstract: A proppant conveyance system at a well site. The system comprises a sand hopper configured to receive and hold the proppant. The system also includes a prime mover. The system further includes one or more plunger assemblies. Each plunger assembly resides proximate a base of the sand hopper. Each of the plunger assemblies is configured to receive a defined volume of proppant, and transport the defined volume of proppant into a sand manifold in response to power provided by the prime mover. The sand manifold, in turn, is configured to reside in series along a high-pressure frac line. As fracturing fluid moves through the sand manifold, it is mixed with proppant, producing a frac slurry. Methods of forming a frac slurry for use in wellbore fracturing operations are also provided.

Abstract: Improved systems and methods of facilitating placement of candidates between employers and recruiters are provided. In various implementations, such systems and methods provide an integrated interface within the ATS platform for employers and integrated interface within the talent platforms for recruiters. In another implementation, a talent platform exchange is provided that permits disparate talent platforms to communicate and thus more effectively manage the hiring process from within the platform. To this end, interfaces and other components may be provided which facilitate communication between talent platforms and a talent platform exchange. Such communication capability would enable a direct hire marketplace where employers engage recruiters to fill positions through their presently implemented ATSs.

Abstract: Assistance can be provided to AV users through projection of graphical figures. A system may receive a request for assistance from a user of an AV. The system assigns the request to an agent who can assist the user. The system further provides a graphical representation (e.g., an avatar) of the agent to a device that can project the graphical representation to the user. The user can have a conversation with the graphical representation, e.g., based on information provided by the agent. The system can also provide an audio filter to the device for modifying an audio content presented by the device so that the modified audio content appears as if it is made by the graphical representation. The device may be a part of the AV or a client device of the user that can present VR, AR, or MR content. The device may be mobile.
