Abstract: Systems and methods for improved Spoken Language Understanding (“SLU”) are provided. The methods may comprise receiving an utterance from a user, contextualizing a plurality of words in the utterance, providing the contextualized words to the slot detector to determine the probability of a word forming the beginning or end of a slot to determine slots and nested slots, an intent classifier to determine the probability of a word conveying a user intent, and a slot classifier that applies specific labels to each slot and nest slot. The SLU method may employ a model and jointly trains the model for each task (determining beginning and end of slots, intents, and slot classifications) using a combined loss function.
Abstract: A method for determining a location of a trailer in an image includes obtaining at least one real-time image from a vehicle. The at least one real-time image is processed with a controller on the vehicle to obtain a feature patch describing at least one real-time image. A convolution is performed of the feature patch and each filter from a set of filters with the filter being based on data representative of known trailers. A location of a trailer is determined in the at least one real-time image based on the convolution between the feature patch and each filter from the set of filters.
Abstract: A method, device, and computer-readable medium for decoding an encoded video bitstream using at least one processor, including obtaining a flag indicating that a conformance window is not used for reference picture resampling; based on the flag indicating that the conformance window is not used for the reference picture resampling, determining whether a resampling picture size is signaled; based on determining that the resampling picture size is signaled, determining a resampling ratio based on the resampling picture size; based on determining that the resampling picture size is not signaled, determining the resampling ratio based on an output picture size; and performing the reference picture resampling on a current picture using the resampling ratio.

Abstract: In various aspects, the present disclosure provides a method of manufacturing an electrode for an electrochemical cell. The method includes contacting a solid electrode material and a substrate at an interface. The method further includes preparing a liquid electrode material at the interface by heating at least a portion of the solid electrode material to a first temperature. The first temperature is greater than or equal to a melting point of the solid electrode material. The method further includes creating a layer of the liquid electrode material on the substrate by moving at least one of the solid electrode material and the substrate with respect to the other of the solid electrode material and the substrate. The method further includes forming the electrode by cooling the liquid electrode material to a second temperature. The second temperature is less than or equal to the melting point.

Abstract: A vehicular communication controller includes a microcontroller (MCU) located within a vehicle to generate, by a software component, a find service request to discover an offered service from one or more systems on a chip (SoC). The MCU may generate a service message packet that includes the find service request inserted into a payload of the find service message packet where the payload is bound to an automotive/embedded communication protocol. Using unicast or multicast, the find service message packet may be sent to one or more SoC receiving devices. The SoC receiving devices may deserialize the header and payload of the find service message packet to retrieve the find service request and generate a service directory message based on service metadata and publish a cloud event including a solicited response that is sent back to the software component.
Abstract: A movable barrier operator comprising a motor, communication circuitry configured to receive a control signal and communicate with a door lock associated with a passageway door, and a controller. The controller is configured to authenticate the control signal, wherein authenticating the control signal includes associating the signal with a first level of access or a second level of access. The controller is further configured to communicate with the door lock via the communication circuitry to permit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the first level of access and inhibit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the second level of access. The controller is configured to cause the motor to open the movable barrier regardless of association of the control signal with the first level of access or the second level of access.

Abstract: Systems and methods for classifying product feedback by an electronic device are described. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may receive consumer feedback entries associated with various products, where each entry may include an initial classification. The electronic device may analyze each entry using a machine learning model to determine a subsequent classification for the entry. When there is a mismatch between classifications, the electronic device may present information associated with the entry for review by a user, where the user may specify a final classification for the entry, and the electronic device may update the machine learning model for use in subsequent analyses.

Abstract: A fluidic device includes at least one bulk acoustic wave (BAW) resonator structure with a functionalized active region, and at least one first (inlet) port defined through a cover structure arranged over a fluidic passage containing the active region. At least a portion of the at least one inlet port is registered with the active region, permitting fluid to be introduced in a direction orthogonal to a surface of the active region bearing functionalization material. Such arrangement promotes mixing proximate to a BAW resonator structure surface, thereby reducing analyte stratification, increasing analyte binding rate, and reducing measurement time.

Abstract: A network device includes: a radio configured to operate in a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band; a 32 bit double data rate (DDR) memory having instructions stored therein; a system clock configured to operate at 533 MHz; and a processor. The processor is configured to execute the instructions stored on the memory to cause the network device to: operate the 32 bit DDR memory at 1067 MHz; instruct the radio to transmit data to be transmitted in the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band; and instruct the radio to receive data to be received in the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.

During operation of the system, certain network communications may take priority over other network communications. Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for implementing a software-defined private mobile network (SD-PMN) for an entity. At a physical location of the entity, the method deploys a first set of control plane components for the SD-PMN, the first set of control plane components including a security gateway, a user-plane function (UPF), an AMF (access and mobility management function), and an SMF (session management function). At an SD-WAN (software-defined wide area network) PoP (point of presence) belonging to a provider of the SD-PMN, the method deploys a second set of control plane components for the SD-PMN that includes a subscriber database that stores data associated with users of the SD-PMN. The method uses an SD-WAN edge router located at the physical location of the entity and a SD-WAN gateway located at the SD-WAN PoP to establish a connection from the physical location of the entity to the SD-WAN PoP.

Abstract: A cat litter scoop is provided, which includes a handle component, and a user replaceable scoop attachment. When a scoop attachment is inserted into the handle component, a scoop body contacts with a grip area within the body of the handle component. Further insertion force deflects the grip allowing the body of the scoop attachment to pass over grip teeth. The force of the deflection in concert with the geometry of the grip teeth help to retain the scoop attachment within the handle portion When a button is depressed, a protrusion beneath the button is translated into contact with the grip via a contact surface. As the button is further depressed, it deflects the grip in the same direction as the travel of the button. This move's the grip's teeth away from the scoop allowing the scoop to release from the handle component.
