  • Patent number: 11408755
Abstract: A resonant rotor, for use in an inductive position sensor, includes a rotor core, a first rotor coil, and a rotor capacitor. The first rotor coil includes a first twisted rotor loop drawn about the rotor core and the rotor capacitor is connected in series with the first rotor coil. For a second embodiment, the first rotor coil includes a second twisted rotor loop. The first rotor coil has a first symmetry and the inductive position sensor includes a stator. An excitation coil is drawn on the stator and has a second symmetry. The first symmetry substantially corresponds to the second symmetry. A method for determining a position of an object using an inductive position sensor includes generating three electromagnetic fields using respective excitation coils, inducing voltages, respectively, in three receive coils, and determining based on voltages a position of an object coupled to a resonant rotor.

  • Patent number: 11409544
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer-readable storage mediums described herein are configured to dynamically configure a baseboard management controller to monitor a state of a server. For example, a configuration schema may be provided to the baseboard management controller. The configuration schema specifies each of the devices of the server that is to be monitored by the baseboard management controller. The configuration schema also specifies additional configuration details with respect to each of the devices. Based on the configuration information included in the configuration schema, the baseboard management controller performs a discovery sequence with respect to each of the devices to verify that such devices are communicatively coupled to the baseboard management controller. If the discovery sequence is successful, the baseboard management controller begins monitoring the devices.

  • Patent number: 11410829
Abstract: A TEM sample holder enables simultaneous cooling and RF irradiation of a sample. The sample is suspended in a hole that penetrates through a sample stage formed by a dielectric plate having a lower metallic ground layer and an upper metallic lead. The sample stage is supported by an evacuated hollow tube extending from a cryogenic chamber, such as a liquid nitrogen or helium Dewar. A coaxial conductor extends from an ambient connector through the cryogenic chamber and hollow tube to the sample stage, a center conductor and surrounding metallic shield thereof being in thermal and electrical communication with the metallic lead and metallic ground layer respectively of the sample stage, and the metallic shield being is in direct thermal communication with the cryogenic chamber. The coaxial conductor thereby enables simultaneous cooling and RF irradiation of the sample during TEM measurements. Embodiments include a temperature sensor and heater.

  • Patent number: 11409974
Abstract: Copies of a distributed ledger with multiple blocks are stored on multiple computing devices. A first computing device coming into proximity with a particular object triggers generation of a new block to the distributed ledger, the new block identifying a characteristic of the object and including a hash of a previous block of the distributed ledger. The new block is optionally verified before it is appended onto the distributed ledger and transmitted out to each of the multiple computing devices so that each copy of the distributed ledger includes the new block.

  • Patent number: 11407595
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for performing article singulation are provided. An article singulator can include an intake conveyor, an out-take conveyor, and multiple intermediate conveyors. The intake conveyor can receive multiple articles and convey the articles to the multiple intermediate conveyors. Further, the out-take conveyor may convey singulated articles from amongst the multiple articles (e.g. to an outfeed). Further, the multiple intermediate conveyors may include successive conveyors to convey the articles and provide the singulated articles to the out-take conveyor. In some examples, each successive conveyor of the multiple intermediate conveyors may be positioned at a lower level than a preceding conveyor. Further, each successive conveyor can convey the articles in a different direction and at a different speed than a preceding conveyor such that the articles are singulated upon conveyance by the article singulator.
