  • Patent number: 11409670
Abstract: Managing lock coordinator rebalance in distributed file systems is provided herein. A node device of a cluster of node devices can comprise a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can comprise determining an occurrence of a group change between a cluster of node devices and executing a probe function based on the occurrence of the group change. Further, the operations can comprise reasserting first locks of a group of locks based on a result of the probe function indicating reassertion of the first locks. The second locks of the group of locks, other than the first locks, are not reasserted based on the result of the probe function. The cluster of node devices can operate as a distributed file system.

  • Patent number: 11411658
Abstract: An entangled quantum state receiver includes an optical detector that generates an electrical signal having a signal characteristic in response to detection of a single photon. A first electrical circuit generates an electrical signal having a predetermined duration at an output when the signal characteristic is present. A clock generates a clock with a period, wherein the predetermined duration is greater than the period. A second electrical circuit generates and stores a state or a time in a memory location, where the state has a first state value when the electrical signal having the predetermined duration is present during a clock cycle and has a second state value when the electrical signal having the predetermined duration is not present during the clock cycle. A processor determines received entangled state information from the state value stored in the memory location or from time stored in the memory location.

  • Patent number: 11411819
Abstract: Automatic network configuration for the recovery of virtual machines. A network configuration can be automatically provisioned by discovering the network topology of a source site and then matching the virtual machines to their locations or subnets in the network topology. The network is then implemented on a target site such that the required connectivity is present in the recovered target site even when the infrastructure of the source site and the target site are different.

  • Patent number: 11412457
Abstract: A system that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may perform operations including, for example, identifying a selection of a SINR measurement target of a number of different SINR measurement targets. A SINR measurement of a second base station based on the SINR measurement target is obtained prior to a changing of an amplitude of a portion of a signal of a first base station. A determination is made as to whether the changing of the amplitude of the portion of the signal has reduced a second average SINR measurement of the second base station below a SINR threshold. In response to determining that the changing of the amplitude of the portion of the signal has reduced the second average SINR measurement of the second base station below the SINR threshold, the changing of the amplitude of the portion of the signal is reversed. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11409666
Abstract: Techniques for processing I/O operations may include: issuing, by a process of an application on a host, an I/O operation; determining, by a driver on the host, that the I/O operation is a read operation directed to a logical device used as a log to log writes performed by the application, wherein the read operation reads first data stored at one or more logical addresses of the logical device; storing, by the driver, an I/O flag in the I/O operation, wherein the I/O flag has a first flag value denoting an expected read frequency associated with the read operation; sending the I/O operation from the host to the data storage system; and performing first processing of the I/O operation on the data storage system, wherein said first processing includes using the first flag value in connection with caching the first data in a cache of the data storage system.

  • Patent number: 11411795
Abstract: Artificial intelligence procedures are disclosed for localizing faults in corrupted messages in 5G and 6G, and for correcting those faults based on measured parameters such as backgrounds and message signals according to pulse-amplitude modulation. An AI model with multiple adjustable variables may be “trained” using a large number of message events, including faulted messages, to determine which message elements are likely faulted, based on input parameters such as modulation quality, SNR, and other signal properties. The receiving entity can then attempt a grid search to correct the faulted message elements, or request a retransmission. For field use by base stations and user devices, an algorithm may be developed based on the AI model, and configured to predict which message elements are likely faulted. By detecting and correcting message faults, networks may increase reliability and reduce latency while avoiding most retransmission costs and delays, according to some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 11410829
Abstract: A TEM sample holder enables simultaneous cooling and RF irradiation of a sample. The sample is suspended in a hole that penetrates through a sample stage formed by a dielectric plate having a lower metallic ground layer and an upper metallic lead. The sample stage is supported by an evacuated hollow tube extending from a cryogenic chamber, such as a liquid nitrogen or helium Dewar. A coaxial conductor extends from an ambient connector through the cryogenic chamber and hollow tube to the sample stage, a center conductor and surrounding metallic shield thereof being in thermal and electrical communication with the metallic lead and metallic ground layer respectively of the sample stage, and the metallic shield being is in direct thermal communication with the cryogenic chamber. The coaxial conductor thereby enables simultaneous cooling and RF irradiation of the sample during TEM measurements. Embodiments include a temperature sensor and heater.

  • Patent number: 11410050
Abstract: Various systems and methods are described herein for improving the aggressive development of machine learning systems. In machine learning, there is always a trade-off between allowing a machine learning system to learn as much as it can from training data and overfitting on the training data. This trade-off is important because overfitting usually causes performance on new data to be worse. However, various systems and methods can be utilized to separate the process of detailed learning and knowledge acquisition and the process of imposing restrictions and smoothing estimates, thereby allowing machine learning systems to aggressively learn from training data, while mitigating the effects of overfitting on the training data.
