  • Patent number: 11406068
Abstract: A plant cover apparatus includes a bag having an interior encompassed by a wall that extends from a top end of the bag and tapers inwardly to a bottom end of the bag. The bottom end includes a rim that laterally circumscribes a plant-receiving opening formed through the bag. The bag has a slot that extends vertically from the opening through the wall. The slot includes opposed margins having cooperatively interlocking parts that can temporarily be joined and separated to increase the size of the opening. The bag may be vertically suspended from a support member positioned next to the plant. An exterior perimeter of the bag may be rigid enough to help the bag maintain its shape when suspended.

  • Patent number: 11412196
Abstract: Digital camera systems and methods are described that provide a color digital camera with direct luminance detection. The luminance signals are obtained directly from a broadband image sensor channel without interpolation of RGB data. The chrominance signals are obtained from one or more additional image sensor channels comprising red and/or blue color band detection capability. The red and blue signals are directly combined with the luminance image sensor channel signals. The digital camera generates and outputs an image in YCrCb color space by directly combining outputs of the broadband, red and blue sensors.

  • Patent number: 11409589
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for identifying a stopping point of an active learning process includes calculating an error rate for a set of documents, determining whether minimum coding exists, checking an error rate, detecting that an uncertainty rate decreases, and displaying an indication that the stopping point has been reached. A computing system for determining a stopping point of an active learning process includes a processors and a memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the computing system to calculate an error rate, determine that minimum coding exists, check an error rate, detect decreasing uncertainty rate, and display a stopping point indication. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing program instructions that when executed, cause a computer system to calculate an error rate, determine that minimum coding exists, check an error rate, detect decreasing uncertainty rate, and display a stopping point indication.

  • Patent number: 11407655
Abstract: A system and method for decontaminating a fluid and recovered vapor, particularly processing and recycling water used in an oil zone steam process, utilizing a vaporizer-desalination unit to separate a contaminated water flow into a contaminated disposal flow and a clean water vapor flow. The contaminated water flow is recovered after separation from a combined oil and water flow from an oil well. The clean water vapor flow is preferably passed through a steam generator to produce the steam used in the oil zone steam process. The steam is injected into the oil zone of a designated well and then extracted as the combined oil and water flow. Once primed with sufficient external water, the system and method is designed to operate continuously with minimal replenishment because of the water/vapor/steam cycle.

  • Patent number: 11410752
Abstract: A system, software application and method that allows a customer to protect their proprietary database of compounds and substances while utilizing a retrosynthesis software application is disclosed. The customer's proprietary database is encrypted prior to being provided to the retrosynthesis system. This encrypted is performed using a hash and optionally a salt. The retrosynthesis algorithm then creates synthons as is traditionally done. However, after their creation, the synthons are hashed so that they may be compared to the entries in the customer's proprietary database. In this way, the actual contents of the customer's database are never made available to the retrosynthesis system or software application.

  • Patent number: 11410367
Abstract: A computer system is used to host a virtual reality universe process in which multiple avatars are independently controlled in response to client input. The host provides coordinated motion information for defining coordinated movement between designated portions of multiple avatars, and an application responsive to detect conditions triggering a coordinated movement sequence between two or more avatars. During coordinated movement, user commands for controlling avatar movement may be in part used normally and in part ignored or otherwise processed to cause the involved avatars to respond in part to respective client input and in part to predefined coordinated movement information. Thus, users may be assisted with executing coordinated movement between multiple avatars.

  • Patent number: 11409671
Abstract: This disclosure describes various examples of a system which uses a multi-bank, multi-port shared memory system that may be implemented as part of a system on a chip. The shared memory system may have particular applicability in the context of an artificial reality system, and may be designed to have distributed or varied latency for one or more memory banks and/or one or more components or subsystems within the system on a chip. The described shared memory system may be logically a single entity, but physically may have multiple memory banks, each accessible by any of a number of components or subsystems. In some examples, the memory system may enable concurrent, common, and/or shared access to memory without requiring, in some situations, full locking or arbitration.

  • Patent number: 11407182
Abstract: An apparatus for joining a first film portion and a second film portion together along a seal line. The apparatus includes a horn and an anvil. The anvil is positionable in close proximity to the horn. Either the horn or the anvil has a face with a width dimension and a circumference and is rotatable about a rotation axis. The face has a raised profile, and a height of the raised profile has a dimension corresponding to 50% to 150% of a thickness of the first film portion or the second film portion. The face is positioned such that the raised profile extends along the circumference such that continuous running contact is provided between the raised profile and the other of the one of the horn or the anvil when rotated about the rotation axis, to form the seal line without any external structure to control a distance between the horn and the anvil.

  • Patent number: 11407579
Abstract: An insulating device can include an aperture having a waterproof closure which allows access to the chamber within the insulating device. The closure can help prevent any fluid leakage into and out of the insulating device if the insulating device is overturned or in any configuration other than upright. The closure may also prevent any fluid from permeating into the chamber if the insulating device is exposed to precipitation, other fluid, or submersed under water. The insulating device may include a back panel support structure and shoulder straps allowing the device to be worn as a backpack. This construction results in an insulating chamber that is substantially impervious to water and other liquids when the closure is sealed.
