Abstract: Users that abandon GPS searches on GPS enabled devices before arriving at the search location are lost to business entities. The system uses the data obtained from abandoned GPS searches to identify these lost users. Sometimes a unique script embedded in the GPS application loaded onto the user's GPS enabled device scrapes the data from the GPS search and from user entries on the GPS enabled device. The system uses the obtained data to market or remarket to the lost consumers by sending personalized messages via a preferred communication medium.

Abstract: A downhole fluid analysis system includes an optical sensor that includes a light source configured to emit light, a light detector, and an optical tip optically coupled to the light source and the light detector. At least a portion of the light emitted from the light source travels through the optical tip and returns to the detector, wherein the optical tip has a bi-conical shape. The system further includes a piezoelectric helm resonator, in which the piezoelectric helm resonator generates a resonance response in response to an applied current, and an electromagnetic spectroscopy sensor positioned symmetrically with respect to the piezoelectric helm resonator in at least one direction. In some embodiments, the optical tip includes a first conical portion and a second conical portion.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of producing polymer fibers and polymer fiber products and materials recovery from these processes. It is an object of this invention to produce polymer fibers and products that include these fibers using selective dissolution of multicomponent fiber and to recover the dissolved polymer and solvent for subsequent use.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to systems and methods for redundant flight control configured for use in an aircraft. More specifically, a system is provided that includes a plurality of actuators that are configured to move a flight component of an aircraft such that one actuator is configured to move the flight component if the other actuator fails to move the flight component upon receipt of an attitude command from a pilot control.

Abstract: According to various aspects, systems and methods are provided for tracking actions performed in various disparate talent platforms, and generating ratings for parties that use the talent platforms based on the tracked actions. Some embodiments provide objective ratings of hiring and staffing parties that are automatically determined based on stored data records of tracked actions. The hiring and staffing party ratings may build transparency of activity performed by the parties within the disparate talent platforms. This in turn builds trust among users of the online system.

Abstract: An electronic device can include doped regions and a trench disposed between the doped regions, wherein the trench can include a conductive member. In an embodiment, a parasitic transistor can include doped regions as drain/source regions and the conductive member as a gate electrode. A semiconductor material can lie along a bottom or sidewall of the trench and be a channel region of the parasitic transistor. The voltage on the gate electrode or the dopant concentration can be selected so that the channel region does not reach inversion during the normal operation of the electronic device.
Abstract: Describe are preferred formulations for Avgas meeting the requirements for use in aircraft, including requirements established under ASTM standards and by the Federal Aviation Administration. In one embodiment, a binary mixture of 1,3,5-trimethyl benzene (mesitylene) and isopentane is used to provide a MON of at least 100, and more preferably at least 102. In other embodiments, the amounts of mesitylene and/or isopentane may be changed, and other fuel components are included. These various Avgas formulations are thereby adjusted to meet a variety of requirements as to octane rating, RVP, cold start, and other fuel characteristics.
Abstract: A method for forming a polyarylene sulfide with a relatively low content of volatile malodorous compounds is provided. More particularly, such low compound levels may be achieved by selectively controlling the manner in which the polyarylene sulfide is washed after it is formed.
Abstract: An analytics system can include a display on which a plurality of images are shown, and an analytics application communicably coupled to the display. The analytics application can receive a question and hypotheses from a user using the display. The analytics application can also generate queries using a natural language module, and send the queries to a plurality of data sources. The analytics application can further receive data from the data sources in response to the queries, and evaluate the data to generate evaluated data. The analytics application can also present the evaluated data, and receive a selection of at least one data item of the evaluated data. The analytics application can further convert the at least one data item into evidence, receive a selection of the evidence applied to a hypothesis, and evaluate the hypothesis. The analytics application can also present an assessment that the hypothesis answers the question.

Abstract: A lead-acid battery is disclosed. The lead-acid storage battery has a container with a cover, the container including one or more compartments. One or more cell elements are provided in the one or more compartments. The one or more cell elements include a positive plate, the positive plate having a positive grid and a positive electrochemically active material on the positive grid; a negative plate, the negative plate having a negative grid and a negative electrochemically active material on the negative grid, wherein the negative electrochemically active material comprises barium sulfate and an organic expander; and a separator between the positive plate and the negative plate. Electrolyte is provided within the container. One or more terminal posts extend from the cover and are electrically coupled to the one or more cell elements.
Abstract: A method for an uncontrolled modeling language to be hyperpiled into a general purpose language is disclosed herein. The method overcomes previous limitations by allowing for a modeling language that is syntactically simple, while conceptually unlimited, while offloading the burdens of minutia and control structure to the hyperpiler.
Abstract: A fluid system includes a variable-speed and/or a variable-torque pump to pump a fluid, at least one proportional control valve assembly, an actuator that is operated by the fluid to control a load, and a controller that establishes a speed and/or torque of the pump and a position of the at least one proportional control valve assembly. The pump includes at least one fluid driver that provides fluid to the actuator, which can be, e.g., a fluid-actuated cylinder, a fluid-driven motor or another type of fluid-driven actuator that controls a load. Each fluid driver includes a prime mover and a fluid displacement assembly. The fluid displacement assembly can be driven by the prime mover such that fluid is transferred from the inlet port to the outlet port of the pump.
