Abstract: Some embodiments include a system and computer-implemented method for aggregating and tracking medical delivery to a patient including a non-transitory computer-readable medium in data communication with at least one processor, where the non-transitory computer-readable medium includes software instructions for a medical services tracking system and method. Upon execution of the software instructions, information from a patient database or server can be received and displayed a medical record dashboard. A user can view and edit access to the information, and a user selectable link can display medical record information. The system and method enable auto-population of medical data entry fields based at least one part on at least one claim made or billing signed off by a physician for at least one medical service or procedure previously provided to or performed on at least one patient.
Abstract: An inertia-actuated valve assembly includes a valve housing, a valve body and a biasing element. The valve housing includes a groove that has an open end fluidically accessible from along one side thereof. The valve housing includes a flow channel extending therethrough in fluid communication with the groove from along an opposing side of the valve housing. The valve body is positioned within the groove of the valve housing such that the valve body and the valve housing are axially co-extensive along at least a portion thereof. The biasing element operatively engages the valve body and generates a biasing force urging the valve body in a first axial direction. The biasing force is greater than a predetermined dynamic gas pressure threshold value multiplied by a pressure area and is less than or approximately equal to a valve body mass multiplied by 2.5 times the nominal acceleration due to gravity.
Abstract: A method and system are provided to support a decentralized distributed ledger in which transactions are recorded by parties to the transactions without the use of a blockchain. A distributed ledger system provides a protocol framework that supports the development of protocol flows. A protocol flow is computer code that controls the performance of a transaction by the party or parties to the transaction. Protocol flows can be developed for different types of transactions. The distributed ledger system allows transactions to be proposed, accepted, and notarized by a notary and stored without the use of a blockchain ledger. The distributed ledger system can avoid the expense of the computational and storage resources needed to redundantly verify a transaction and store evidence on the many nodes of a blockchain distributed ledger.

Abstract: A microphone device includes a base and a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) transducer and an integrated circuit (IC) disposed on the base. The microphone device also includes a cover mounted on the base and covering the MEMS transducer and the IC. The MEMS transducer includes a diaphragm attached to a surface of the substrate and a back plate mounted on the substrate and in a spaced apart relationship with the diaphragm. The diaphragm is attached to the surface of the substrate along at least a portion of a periphery of the diaphragm. The diaphragm can include a silicon nitride insulating layer, and a conductive layer, that faces a conductive layer of the back plate. Abstract: An apparatus and method of operating a computer system is disclosed herein for rendering a user interface of an email service that includes a triage menu. In a user interface to an email service, an option to triage an email is rendered. In response to a selection of the option to triage the email, a triage menu is rendered that comprises a plurality of triage actions. At least one triage action of the plurality of triage actions corresponds to a service other than the email service. In response to a selection of the one triage action, triage information is communicated which indicates the selection of the one triage action to trigger a reminder in an application associated with the service.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for overlaying themed imagery onto real-world objects in a head-mounted display device (HMDD). A computing device receives, from an HMDD, depth data that identifies distances from the HMDD to surfaces of a plurality of objects in a user space. The computing device detects at least one object in the user space based at least in part on the depth data. The computing device determines a classification of video content being presented on a display system of the HMDD. The computing device selects, based on the classification, a particular image theme from a plurality of different image themes, the image theme comprising one or more image textures. The computing device sends, to the HMDD, at least one image texture for overlaying the at least one object during presentation of the at least one object on the display system of the HMDD in conjunction with the video content.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a program product for evaluating an application program interface (API) are provided in embodiments of the present disclosure. According to some embodiments, a method for evaluating an API includes determining a specification score of the API by comparing a definition description for the API with a predetermined specification corresponding to the API. The specification score indicates a degree of matching between the definition description and the predetermined specification. Additionally, the method for evaluating an API includes determining a test score for the API by applying a predetermined test case set to a code set of the API. The test score indicates a test status for the code set. Further, the method for evaluating an API includes determining a maturity metric of the API based on the specification score and the test score.
Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and method of verifying an application installation procedure. One example method of operation may include receiving an application at a computer device and initiating the installation of the application on the computer device. The method may also provide executing the application during the installation procedure and creating a hash value corresponding to the executed application data. The method may further provide storing the hash value in memory and comparing the hash value to a pre-stored hash value to determine whether to continue the installation of the application.
Abstract: A system and method for securely streaming/downloading and playing coherent digital content such as music and preventing its play by unauthorized users, facilitating a peer-to-peer sharing of cloned content. The system may include mass server/storage devices for receiving and storing digital content having predetermined gaps, and client devices communicating with the server/storage devices and providing authorization to proceed. During playing of the digital content by the client devices, the removed components may be reinserted into the missing gaps at the appropriate places, to allow the play or cloning of the coherent digital content.
Abstract: Pre-decompressing a compressed form of data that has been pre-fetched into a cache to facilitate subsequent retrieval of a decompressed form of the data from the cache is presented herein. A system retrieves, from a first portion of a cache, a compression chunk comprising compressed data blocks representing a compressed form of a group of data blocks in response to a first cache hit from the first portion of the cache being incurred, decompresses the compression chunk to obtain a decompressed chunk comprising uncompressed data blocks representing an uncompressed form of the group of data blocks, and inserts the uncompressed data blocks into a second portion of the cache. Further, the system retrieves, from the second portion of the cache, an uncompressed data block of the uncompressed data blocks in response to a second cache hit from the second portion of the cache being incurred.
Abstract: A method, system and composition is described for treating waste generated from manufacturing operations including at least one of Printed Circuit Boards Fabrication (PCB FAB), General Metal Finishing (GMF), semiconductors manufacturing, chemical milling, and Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). The method, system and composition are used to create zero liquid discharge recycling.
Abstract: Distributed Bragg reflectors are incorporated into the compositionally graded buffers of metamorphic solar cells, adding functionality to the buffer without adding cost. The reflection aids in collection in subcells that are optically thin due to low diffusion length, high bulk recombination, radiation hardness, partially-absorbing quantum structures, or simply for cost savings. Performance enhancements are demonstrated in GaAs subcells with QWs, which is beneficial when GaAs is not the ideal bandgap.

Abstract: User equipment (UE) may receive a primary synchronization signal (PSS), a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) including a master information block (MIB). Further, the PSS, SSS and PBCH are in a first bandwidth of a cell having a cell bandwidth, wherein the first bandwidth is a first portion of the cell bandwidth. The MIB includes an indication of frequency resources and time resources for use in acquiring additional system information. The UE may further acquire the additional system information using the indication of the frequency resources and the time resources.
Abstract: One embodiment can provide a system and method for determining joinder points on to-be-joined fabric pieces. During operation, the system captures an image comprising the to-be-joined fabric pieces; identifies to-be-joined edges, respectively, on the fabric pieces; for each edge, computes a curve that substantially fits the edge; and determines the joinder points on the edge based on the computed curve. Variance of distance between two consecutive joinder points on the edge is within a predetermined value.

Abstract: A tunable antenna system is provided for a wearable personal computing device, such as a smartwatch. The tunable antenna system includes at least two antennas configured for respective sets of frequency ranges. One or more radiating elements of the antennas are formed from portions of a metal bezel of the wearable personal computing device. For at least one of the antennas, an aperture tuner and an impedance tuner positioned within the metal bezel are provided, e.g., to tune between various communication bands. Non-conductive slits may be positioned within the metal bezel to provide isolation between the antennas. A ground plane of the antenna system may be formed by a metallic component of the wearable personal computing device. The antenna system can be insulated from a wearer's skin by a non-metallic back cover and optionally a glass back plate arranged to contact the wearer's skin or clothing during use.
Abstract: Methods for tuning properties of electric machines are disclosed. A method for reducing core loss in an electric machine includes punching a plurality of laminations from one or more electrical steel sheets that results in one or more cut edges. The method further includes assembling the laminations into a core such that an outer perimeter surface of the core is defined by the cut edges. The method further includes peening the outer perimeter surface to remove residual stresses.

Abstract: A system of spectroscopic devices deployed amongst the fluid infrastructure of hydrocarbon fluids are described herein. The devices provide early visibility into the characteristics of those fluids which inform and educate downstream parties of the potential value of the fluid, or the opportunity to reblend or redirect the fluid to optimize the formulization. By allowing downstream parties to determine the quality and quantity of refined products at an early stage, they are better able to determine the true value of the fluid. The data from the distributed network of spectroscopic analyzers provides valuation information that can be used to make more informed purchasing decisions or allow processors to create blends that optimize the efficiency of refining operations.
