Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are described herein for providing a clinically dynamic call center management tool. As such, representatives of various clinics may provide and/or modify practice information, physician information and call scripts specific to their respective clinics. Users with publishing permissions, who may be affiliated with the call center, may publish the clinical content. Call center agents may therefore access clinically dynamic content that may be referenced during a call with a patient regarding a specific clinic.

Abstract: Devices, systems, techniques, and computer-program products are provided for mobile healthcare management. In one aspect, a mobile device can acquire physiological information and/or situational information associated with a subject associated with the mobile device. The information that is acquired can be transmitted to a network platform and, based at least on the information that is acquired, a health profile associated with the subject can be generated and evaluated with respect to a reference health profile. Based at least on an outcome of the evaluation, in one aspect, a response to the health profile can be supplied to a healthcare provider. In scenarios in which the health profile is indicative of a medical emergency, the response can include an emergency communication with one or more first responder or a predetermined emergency contact for the subject. The reference health profile can be specific to the subject.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, computer program products and other means are provided for systems that are configured to use remote connections to, for example, provide proactive support monitoring by running scripts (such as, e.g., diagnostic tests) and/or collecting data (such as diagnostic test result data) from one or more customer machines. The collected data can be received at a centralized location. The collected data can be analyzed by one or more other machines, used by a support team, sold to clients, and/or used in any other manner. For example, technical problems discovered from diagnostic test results data may be fixed by a support team before the symptoms of the problems are experienced by at least some of the customer's machines. Some embodiments may also be configured to perform fact based decision making.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are therefore provided in order to provide a component block architecture for allocation of resources in a data center environment. In this regard, the method, apparatus, and computer program product may identify a set of block attributes for a particular block of one or more applications, and compare the attributes to the available resources of a container. The component block may be allocated to the container based on whether the resources of the container are sufficient to meet the requirements of the component block.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are provided that can acquire benchmarking data regarding a particular performance metric, compare a pharmacy's performance with the performance of other pharmacies using the benchmarking data, and recommend action plans aimed at improving the pharmacy's performance. The action plans may be customized for the particular pharmacy, so as to provide the pharmacy with a detailed, pharmacy-specific recommendation for improving performance in one or more targeted areas.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product selectively delete records from a cache in a manner that not only takes into account usage of the record, but also the cost associated with the generation of the record. In regards to a method, a cost associated with generation of a record maintained in a cache is determined. The cost may be defined in terms of the time consumed to generate the record. The method also determines usage of the record. At least one of the cost or the usage may be determined on a relative basis with respect to the cost or the usage, respectively, of other records maintained in the cache. Further, the method determines whether the record should be deleted from the cache based upon the cost and the usage of the record. Based on this determination, the record may be selectively deleted from or retained within the cache.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to efficiently respond to database queries. In the context of a method, a database query is received and a hashed representation of the database query is created. The method also determines whether the hashed representation of the database query serves as a key to a database cache. In an instance in which the hashed representation of the database query is determined to serve as the key to the database cache, the method retrieves database search results from the database cache. Alternatively, in an instance in which the hashed representation of the database query is determined not to serve as the key to the database cache, a search of the database is performed based upon the database query.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are therefore provided in order to provide improved searching of medical records. In this regard, the method, apparatus, and computer program product may provide a network infrastructure that gathers search analytics for medical records searches performed across a plurality of record keepers. Embodiments may identify correlations between querying record keepers and record keepers that provide records that are properly responsive to queries from the querying record keeper. For example, embodiments may derive search analytics related to which record keepers typically provide correct record results in response to a query from a particular record keeper, and these identified record keepers may be specifically queried in response to future requests received from the querying record keeper.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for determining a modulation transfer function of an imaging system. A method may include accessing an image of a phantom having a substantially circular shaped feature captured by the imaging system. The method may further include detecting the circular shaped feature within the image. The method may additionally include defining at least one line extending from a point within the detected circular shaped feature to a point outside of the circular shaped feature. The method may also include determining an edge spread function based at least in part on the defined at least one line. The method may further include determining the modulation transfer function of the imaging system based at least in part on the determined edge spread function. Corresponding apparatuses and computer program products are also provided.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are described herein for generating proxy eligibility data. Input data may be received, such as claim data from a health plan and/or provider organization, or attributed patient lists including patient identifiers of patients currently eligible for coverage in an Accountable Care Organization (ACO). Patient eligibility data may be determined based on the input data, and may be used in generating cost, quality, and/or utilization, metrics, and assessing risk for provider organizations.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for providing facilitating searching. A method may include determining a search term. The method may further include searching a database having at least one codified terminology set. The searching may be performed based at least in part upon the search term and historical search data. The method may additionally include determining one or more search results from the search. The keyboard also includes one or more sensors and a second processor configured to measure a relationship of an object to the sensor(s), and produce a gesture signal based upon a signal representative of the measured relationship. The rules engine system is configured to accept inputs from multiple modules of an application, retrieve data from multiple modules, and cause actions to be carried out by multiple modules. A rules engine provider component of the system is isolated from a rules manager component of the system by a rules wrapper component, such that the rules manager component is unaffected by changes that are made to the rules engine provider component.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for retrieving information associated with one or more patients. The apparatus includes at least one memory and at least one processor configured to receive queries from devices of health care systems. The queries include data requesting information associated with patients that corresponds to specified items of information indicated in the queries. The queries also indicate a predetermined threshold to determine whether the requested information corresponds to respective patients. The processor is further configured to analyze stored patient information to determine items of the patient information that correspond to the specified items of the information. The processor is further configured to detect a subset of the items of the patient information related to health data that is determined to correspond to a respective patient(s) based on a determined value that equals or exceeds the predetermined threshold. In this regard, the method, apparatus, and computer program product may receive an image, where the image includes a set of image scale values. The image scale values may map the image size to real world units of measure. The image scale values may be used to scale the size of a model of a device, such that the model of the device may be superimposed on the image. The model of the device may be manipulated to view the relationship of the device model to the image to assist with selection of the proper device for a procedure. In this manner, a practitioner may visualize the device in the same scale as the image, so that the practitioner may be assured that the size and scale of the device is accurate.

The apparatus enables personnel to utilize predictive tools to identify in real-time or in the near future areas of capacity constraints within the institution. The apparatus includes a processor configured to analyze data which includes information associated with the institution. A portion of the data is generated in real-time during an actual time in which events occur. The processor is capable of using at least a portion of the data to identify current conditions or generate one or more predictions regarding conditions to occur in the future that are associated with resources and capacity of the institution. Also, the processor is capable of analyzing results of the predictions and allocating resources of the institution on the basis of the predicted results.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to permit a patient to provide their preferences with respect to the consent required for and the rules that would govern any sharing of health information. In the context of a method, a patient is permitted to view a central patient identifier, one or more data locations at which health information of the patient is stored and respective local patient identifiers associated with the one or more data locations. The method also receives input from the patient regarding the patient's preferences with respect to consent for sharing of the health information or with respect to one or more rules that govern the sharing of the health information. Further, the method translates the patient's preferences based upon technology utilized by the one or more data locations to implement the patient's preferences at each of the one or more data locations.
