Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for verifying dosages associated with healthcare transactions. A healthcare transaction may be received from a healthcare provider computer. The received healthcare transaction may include information associated with a patient and a prescribed product. Based at least in part on the received information, an age of the patient may be determined. Based upon the determined age, a probable weight for the patient may be determined. The probable weight may be utilized to determine whether a prescribed dosage for the product is an appropriate dosage for the patient.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating edits for healthcare transactions to address billing discrepancies. Information associated with an audit performed on a healthcare transaction may be received. Based at least in part on the received information, a billing discrepancy associated with the healthcare transaction may be identified. Based upon the identified billing discrepancy, a proposed edit may be generated that can be utilized to mitigate an impact of the identified billing discrepancy during the processing of one or more subsequent healthcare transactions.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided in order to provide an efficient interface across multiple devices. The method, apparatus and computer program product may utilize multiple devices communicating with a macro identification module to identify macros from among input received from two or more of the devices to control operation of a target device. Input from each device may be received via a bridge module according to a framework for identifying input macros received from the multiple devices. One or more of the devices may execute the macro identification module to receive input via a bridge interface, or the macro identification module may be separate from the multiple devices. When macros are identified by the macro identification module, the macro identification module may communicate with an application executing on the target device to control the application.

Abstract: A connector apparatus and the associated method are provided for bridging data between entities, such as between data source(s) and data target(s). In a method, first and second data bridge connections are established between a connector apparatus and a data source and between a connector apparatus and a data target, respectively. Each data bridge connection includes a data pipe having one or more data flows with each data flow dedicated to a particular data type. The method includes sending a polling request from the connector apparatus to the data source via the first data bridge connection and receiving data from the data source over the first data pipe in response to the polling request. The method includes sending the received data to the data target over the second data pipe when the data target has subscribed to the data received from the data source over the first data pipe.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided that includes a processor and memory storing executable instructions that in response to execution by the processor cause the apparatus to at least perform a number of operations. The apparatus is caused to receive a rowset of data from a data source, where the rowset includes one or more rows of values from the data source. The apparatus is caused to convert the rowset to markup data, and organize the markup data in preparation for its transformation to an output according to a markup transformation language. The markup data includes, for each row of the rowset, a row markup element; and the organized markup data includes an organization of the row elements into a plurality of logical groups. Even further, the organized markup data may be split into a plurality of smaller markup data sets, which may facilitate transformation of the markup data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for protecting proprietary data are provided. A file of computer-executable code that facilitates the processing of proprietary information when executed may be identified. At least one hashing operation may be performed on the file to generate a first representative value associated with the file. At least one approval associated with validation of the file may be received by the computing system. The at least one approval may be stored in association with the generated representative value. Prior to the execution of the file, the at least one hashing operation may be utilized to determine a second representative value associated with the file. Execution of the file may be selectively permitted based at least in part upon a determination of whether the second representative value matches the stored first representative value and whether the at least one approval is available.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing a prescription rewards program include receiving, at a switch, an adjudicated prescription claim transaction, where the adjudicated prescription claim transaction includes an indication that the prescription claim transaction has been approved by a claim processor. The systems and methods further include identifying, from the adjudicated prescription claim transaction, a patient associated with the adjudicated prescription claim transaction, retrieving, from a database associated with the switch, a reward accumulator value associated with the patient, and updating the reward accumulator value associated with the patient based at least in part on the adjudicated prescription claim transaction. A service provider system that includes one or more computers may route one or more healthcare transactions submitted by a healthcare provider to one or more claims processor computers. One or more respective adjudicated replies received from the one or more claims processor computers for the one or more healthcare transactions may then be routed by the service provider system to the healthcare provider. Based at least in part upon information included in the routed healthcare claim transactions and adjudicated replies, an amount of a product dispensed by the healthcare provider may be determined by the service provider system. The determined dispensed amount may be compared to a purchased amount of the product. Based at least in part upon the comparison, a determination may be made as to whether a REMS condition associated with the product is satisfied.

Abstract: A transcription method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to permit a transcripted text report to be efficiently reviewed. In the context of a method, an audio file and a transcripted text report corresponding to the audio file may be received. For each of a plurality of positions within the transcripted text report, the method correlates the respective position within the transcripted text report with a corresponding position within the audio file. The method also augments the transcripted text report to include a plurality of selectable elements. Each selectable element is associated with a respective position within the transcripted text report. The selectable elements are responsive to user actuation in order to cause the audio file to move to the corresponding position. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.

Abstract: A method for managing data requests is provided. Two asynchronous processes are provided for managing communication with a requestor and an agent via a gateway server. The method may include receiving a request and agent identifier from a requesting web application and generating a correlation identifier to associate with the request. The request and correlation identifier may be routed to a registered agent of a private data center. A response may be returned and routed to the requestor based on the correlation identifier. Corresponding apparatuses and computer program products are also provided.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present invention may provide an efficient method of replenishing canisters of an automated dispensing device off-line. In particular, methods may include automatically causing an image to be captured at each of two or more stages of a replenishment process, where respective images are of a loading receptacle of a replenishment station, the loading receptacle configured to hold medication. The method may also include providing for display of respective images on a device located remote from the replenishment station, and receiving an approval or rejection of at least one stage of the replenishment process in response to providing for the display of respective images.
