Abstract: The invention relates principally to a package adapted for disposable sanitary articles, preferably sanitary napkins and incontinence articles, and secondly to a method of manufacturing such a product. The primary distinguishing feature thereof is that, in a manner known per se, it is designed as a bag of a liquid impervious material, which bag in its packaging stage compactly encloses a disposable article, and that pleats or the like are arranged allowing the bag, after opening and removal of the enclosed article, to expand by one or more pleats spreading out for the accommodation of a used article of the kind in question.

Abstract: The device comprises a head box with a nozzle for applying a pulp suspension on a wire located below the nozzle. A pressure plate is located after the nozzle over the pulp suspension. The pressure plate comprises a concave formed portion, against which the pulp suspension is sprayed, and a subsequent convex formed portion. The fiber web is formed in a forming zone where dewatering is effected in that the convex portion of the pressure plate and an unsupported portion of the wire are pressed against each other.
Abstract: An incontinence protector for men including an absorbent layer of substantially rectangular shape which is folded together, and a liquid impermeable casing enclosing the two planar outsides of the absorbent layer, the folding edge and an edge situated close thereto, as well as a method of manufacturing such an incontinence protector.
Abstract: The invention relates to absorption articles such as diapers or sanitary napkins comprising partly a liquid permeable first outer layer and a preferably liquid impermeable second outer layer applied to either side of an absorption body encased therein; partly elastic members applied under tension and intended for bringing the edge portions of said article into tightly sealing contact with the body of the wearer. The primary distinguishing feature of the inventive article is that the elastic members are comprised in a network.
Abstract: The invention relates to a surgical drape suited for use in urethra surgical procedures. The drape is used in combination with a surgical sheet used for covering the torso and legs of the patient, with the patient's legs placed in a raised divergent attitude while the surgeon operates therebetween. The surgical drape is mainly characterized in that it has a substantially triangular shape and in that fastenings are provided at the corners of the triangle, these fastenings preferably having the form of a double-sided adhesive tape or coatings of bonding agent or pressure-sensitive adhesive substances. Those fastenings provided at the base corners of the triangle are intended to be secured to the surgical sheet in the vicinity of the lower legs or feet of the patient, and the fastening at the other corner at the site of the operation, so that the surgical drape hangs from its three corners in the shape of a bowl.
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement in a surgical drape. A prime characteristic feature of the arrangement is that it consists of a separate sheet assembly comprising an apertured attachment sheet, which is intended to be fastened over the area of a patient within which a surgical procedure is to be carried out, and a protective sheet which has a working aperture located therein and which is provided in a region around the aperture with structure for firmly fastening the protective sheet to the attachment sheet at the aforementioned region, such that the aperture in the attachment sheet lies opposite the working aperture in register therewith. This region of the protective sheet around the aperture is preferably rectangular in configuration and has the same shape and size as a working aperture in the surgical drape. Prior to putting the arrangement into use, the protective sheet is folded to a shape which fills an area congruent with the aforesaid region.
Abstract: The invention relates to a dressing which incorporates substance for cleansing sores and stimulating the healing thereof. The substance is zinc oxide, which is bound in the dressing with the aid of a tissue-compatible polymer. The invention also relates to a method for preparing such dressings.

Abstract: A method and a device for forming a web in a papermaking machine. The stock (2) is sprayed out on the wire (3) through a nozzle (1) and the web is formed in a space (8) between an upper lip (5, 18, 19) and a portion of the wire (3). The dewatering is effected in this space (8) by means of an overpressure between the upper lip (5, 18, 19) and the wire (3).
Abstract: The invention relates to a collapsible wheelchair chassis of the type including two side frames, which are jointed together by a pair of crossed braces provided with a pivot joint at their middle. According to the invention, the braces are arranged in a horizontal plane in order to obtain maximum compactness of the chassis in its collapsed state.
Abstract: A piece of furniture comprises a stand, a seat and a back support pivotable with respect to the seat as well as an upwardly and downwardly pivotable leg support which is provided with a foot-rest, at least one operating means being arranged to, at pivoting of the back support backwardly from a sitting position, in which the feet of the user are resting on the foot-rest, and a simultaneous pivoting of the leg support upwardly and forwardly, cause such a relative movement between the foot-rest and the seat that the knee-adjacent leg portions of the user remain in supporting contact with the supporting areas of the piece of furniture. The operating means is also adapted to, at the pivoting of the leg support upwardly and forwardly, cause a movement of the seat in the direction backwardly relative to the stand and thereby relative to the pivot axis of the leg support.
