Abstract: A cultivating implement has a row of soil working members journalled along the length of an elongated frame portion. The frame portion extends transverse to the direction of implement travel and a support beam with further soil working members is positioned at the rear of the frame portion. The support beam is interconnected to the frame portion by arms and at least one, preferably two, pivot points on each arm enable adjustments of the level of the support beam with the further soil working members to be effected. One pivot point is at the rear portion of each arm and includes locking and pivot bolts. A second pivot point, again including locking and pivot bolts, connects the forward portion of each arm to the frame portion.

Abstract: A cultivating implement has an elongated frame portion with soil working tines rotatably mounted along the length of the frame portion. The implement is supported, at least in part, by a leading member and a rear member each of which bear on the ground in advance and to the rear of the soil working tines. The supporting members can be wheels, rollers, a row of rods, levelling bars or combinations thereof which are interconnected by at least one linkage. Each supporting member has a respective carrier that is pivoted to a strip or pair of strips secured to the frame portion. The carriers include upwardly extending arms or plates with holes at different levels that receive pins and the pins interconnect the upper portions of the carriers to an adjustable connecting member. When one supporting member is displaced upwardly or downwardly, the other member is displaced in an opposite direction.

Abstract: This specification discloses a process wherein by applying certain controlled homogeneous precipitation techniques in the presence of a homogeneously distributed finely divided particulate supporting material, there is effected a deposition precipitation of a metal or metal compound on the surfaces of the support particles. This deposition precipitation process may be effected in a number of ways, such as by homogeneous changes in the pH of the solution, or decomplexation to an insolubilizable metal ion, or introduction of the metal component to be precipitated, or oxidation or reduction techniques, or by introduction of precipitating ions, etc.
Abstract: An apparatus for developing electrostatic charge images on a moving support, e.g. on a photoconductive belt, by a developing powder composed of toner particles and magnetizable carrier particles, which powder is transported by a rotating magnetic roller from a reservoir through a developing zone where a magnetic roller from a reservoir through a developing zone where a magnetic brush is formed between the roller and the support, is provided with means for preventing variations of the quality of the developed images by supplying more developing powder to the brush than the roller transports through the developing zone. The excess powder flows away over a partition into a trough containing a rotor, to be remixed with powder from the reservoir and propelled by the rotor into a narrowing passage defined between the partition and the side of the magnetic roller that moves toward the support.

Abstract: An implement has a row of tined motors that work a broad path of soil. Immediately in front of the rotors is a soil displacing elongated bar that is held to penetrate and raise a shallow layer of soil which is thereafter deposited immediately in front of the working tines. The bar extends parallel to the row of rotors and has a flat bottom that slightly compresses the ground from which the layer of soil is being displaced. The bar can be raised or lowered on supports interconnected to the frame. In front of the bar, a V-shaped guide can be connected to smooth the soil engaged by wheels of the prime mover. A rear roller can be positioned to further level the layer of soil that has been worked by the counter rotating rotors so that a seed bed can be finally prepared in one pass.

Abstract: Masked isocyanates in which the isocyanate group or groups may be generated by heating above 100.degree. C are formed by tetrazolinones and bis(tetrazolinones) corresponding to the formula : ##STR1## wherein X is hydrogen, halogen, nitro, alkyl (1-4 C) or a group of formula: ##STR2## and R is an aliphatic, aromatic or araliphatic hydrocarbon radical. The bis(tetrazolinones) may be utilized to crosslink upon heating polymers containing active hydrogen atoms. The heating may occur image-wise or record-wise so that layers composed of mixtures of polymers and bis(tetrazolinones) can be used as heat-sensitive recording materials.

Abstract: An exposure system for electrophotographic copiers, by which large originals such as engineering drawings can be exposed at high light intensity yet with the space requirement held to a minimum. The exposure is obtained by the provision of at least one tubular light source disposed parallel to a slit exposure zone at the side of that zone facing away from the image projection (optical) system and, at the side thereof facing toward the optical system, of tubular light sources disposed parallel to said zone in two equal groups arranged opposite to one another and adjacent to the reflection object space of the exposure system. The lamps of each of the two groups are closely spaced and have disposed closely about them a diffusely reflecting wall of a form generated by a straight line moving parallel to the lamps.
