Abstract: A power jack, particularly adapted to equip the control system of an aeroe, including stress-responsive components, for example, a helical coil spring, in which indicator instruments record any locking between the relatively movable elements of the jack, such as a rotatable shaft and an encompassing sleeve to thereby disengage a disengaging element and allow the control functions to bypass the jack.

Abstract: Trash removal apparatus in a sugar cane harvester comprises an axial flow extractor fan to draw trash out of harvested cane and to discharge it through a duct on the pressure side of the fan. The duct is in the form of a helical trash guide member which collects the trash out of the air flow and discharges the trash laterally. The trash guide member is mounted for pivotal movement about the duct axis and a mechanism is provided for turning it to discharge trash in a desired direction.
Abstract: An anchoring arrangement including a concrete block 3 provided with countersunk end openings 4, 5 through which piles 6, 7 having limiting abutments 8, 9 are driven into the sea bottom. The block(s) may be supported on a base frame 1. If a floating load tethered by cables 10 raises the block it will successively engage each abutment to thereby evenly distribute the lifting forces.
Abstract: In a crawler having a rear housing or frame a pair of hydrostatic transmission pumps are mounted back-to-back and interconnected by a manifold which acts as a mounting for the pumps on to the rear housing. One pump is located within the rear housing and the other pump is outside.
Abstract: To permit, selectively, either continuous application of printing ink to axially oscillating inking distribution rollers of an offset printing machine, or intermittent ink supply by means of a ductor roller, an ink supply roller 6 is driven at a speed matched to the speed of a printing cylinder 13, the ink roller 6 being in continuous contact with a next adjacent roller 8 of the ink train forming the inking system.
Abstract: The invention is concerned with certain novel 6,7-benzomorphan derivatives having analgesic and/or morphine-antagonistic properties of the formula ##STR1## wherein each R is a lower alkyl group; R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl, haloalkyl, alkenyl, haloalkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, cycloalkylalkyl, cycloalkenylalkyl, cycloalkylidenealkyl, aralkyl, heteroarylalkyl or heterocycloalkylalkyl group; R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or a hydroxy, alkoxy, alkoxyalkoxy or acyloxy group.Such 6,7-benzomorphans may be in the form of their optically active enantiomers and/or their therapeutically acceptable salts. Methods for producing such 6,7-benzomorphan derivatives, and novel intermediates useful for such production are also disclosed and form part of the invention.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of 6-(D-.alpha.-amino-p-hydroxyphenylacetamido)-penicillanic acid or amoxicillin by reacting 6-aminopenicillanic acid with at least two equivalents of a silylating agent producing trimethylsilyl groups in an anhydrous, inert, water-insoluble organic solvent and reacting the resulting product at a temperature below -25.degree. C with an at least equimolar amount of a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.7 are lower alkoxy, R.sub.2 is lower alkyl and R.sub.3 is selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl and hydrogen previously prepared from the corresponding Dane salt and an acid chloride under anhydrous conditions in the presence of a tertiary amine in an inert, water-insoluble organic solvent.

Abstract: A method of deaerating a coating liquid, by subjecting said liquid to ultrasonic vibrations, and by continuously controlling the cushion of foam that is formed on said liquid as a result of the deaerating, by means of a vapor current to which at least one compound that has foam-stability reducing properties is added.
Abstract: An agricultural implement has a driven rotor with cultivator blades and a hood that overlies the rotor. The hood extends down to the rear and the lower hood portion is a guide that has a row of teeth. The teeth are extensions that furrow the worked soil and each tooth corresponds to a material delivery duct that communicates material, such as seeds, from a hopper to the furrows. A ground engaging trough-like levelling member is adjustably connected to side plates of the hood and the openings of the ducts are positioned near the levelling member to prevent clogging of the openings. One or more rear rollers are arranged behind the levelling member with driving connections to a rotatable mechanism in the hopper.
Abstract: A yarn adjuster positioned adjacent tufting needles in a tufting machine for engaging yarn in close proximity to the tufting needles and moving it a predetermined distance to thereby control the length of the yarn on each side of the needles which controls evenness of tufts particularly when dual tufting needles are utilized to tuft U-shaped tufts. The yarn adjuster may be driven by an improved coupler point drive featuring long dwell and fast rise.

Abstract: In a method of collecting light-weight substance floating on a liquid the light-weight substance is sprayed with the aid of a liquid jet into an accumulator tank in that the light-weight substance lands together with the liquid jet as a downward stream about a lower edge of the open bottom of the tank into said tank.In order to keep the liquid jet effective the disintegration of the liquid jet is prevented. To this end the liquid jet is guided above the layer of light-weight substance along a bar or similar guide means.
