  • Patent number: 3996616
Abstract: A combination cassette changer and recording machine in which a remotely controlled cassette changer mounted on a conventional cassette recording machine substitutes a cassette from its magazine for the cassette previously installed in the machine. The changer first opens the cassette cradle, then, using a vertically reciprocal ram assembly, extracts the used cassette and, thereafter, inserts the new cassette in its place. Finally, the changer closes the cradle for further operation.

  • Patent number: 3995585
Abstract: A device which is useful in development of diazotype paper said device comprising a liquid application roller, a dosing roller cooperating with it and one or more pressing organs to bring the diazotype material into contact with the application roller. In order to reduce liquid transport via the extremities of the rollers toward the pressing organs, the dosing roller is provided with limiting elements which are installed at the exhaust side of the dosing roller near the nip between this roller and the application roller and each limiting element consists of at least five plates, installed perpendicularly on the shaft of the dosing roller of which plates one side is closely adjacent to the cylinder surface of the dosing roller. The limiting elements transport superfluous liquid from said nip between the rollers toward the liquid reservoir and thus they inhibit the liquid transport toward the pressing organs which would wet the rear side of the diazotype material.

  • Patent number: 3995495
Abstract: An apparatus for taking out an average sample of milk proportional to the yield from the milking of a cow. The apparatus comprises a primary sampling system and a secondary sampling system. The primary sampling system has a chamber into which milk is sucked during the milking of the cow through a first tube terminating at a distance from a superimposed circular cylinder the bottom of which forms a substantially horizontal circular distributor surface which spreads the milk to form a film. A fraction of the film is caught between a first pair of knives, which are not integral with the distributor surface, and passed through a normally open valve into a collecting cup, while the major part of the milk leaves the chamber through a discharge tube in the bottom of the chamber.
