Abstract: A method and measuring tool are presented for automatic control of photoresist-based processing of a workpiece progressing through a processing tool arrangement. Spectrophotometric measurements are applied to the workpiece prior to being processed, spectral characteristics of the workpiece are measured, thereby obtaining measured data indicative of at least one parameter of the workpiece that defines an optimal value of at least processing time parameter of the processing tool to be used in the processing of said workpiece to obtain certain process results. This data is analyzed to determine data indicative of the optimal value of said at least processing time parameter, and thereby enable calculation of a correction value to be applied to said processing time parameter prior to applying the processing tool to the workpiece.
Abstract: The melt of polyvinyl aromatic polymers comprising from 10 to 45 weight % of star branched polymer prepared using a combination of thermal and tetra functional peroxide initiation has an improved melt strength permitting better foam formation for extrusion foam blown with conventional blowing agents and inert gases including CO2.
Abstract: Arcuate-winged submersible vehicles having improved hydrodynamic stability and maneuverability for use in, for example, underwater payload delivery and data acquisition. In one embodiment, a submersible vehicle includes a body having a pair of outwardly projecting at least partially arcuate wings, an adjustably positionable wing steering flap hingeably attached to each wing, at least one wing flap actuator coupled to the hull and to the wing steering flaps to controllably adjust the position of the wing steering flaps, an adjustably positionable hingeable tail steering flap attached to the hull, and at least one tail flap actuator coupled to the hull and to the tail steering flap to controllably adjust the position of the tail steering flap. The arcuate wings provide improved stability and maneuverability characteristics of the vehicle. In alternate embodiments, a vehicle may include arcuate wings having a swept leading edge or a swept trailing edge, or both.
Abstract: A method for measuring at least one desired parameter of a patterned structure having a plurality of features defined by a certain process of its manufacturing. The structure represents a grid having at least one cycle formed of at least two locally adjacent elements having different optical properties in respect of incident radiation. An optical model is provided, which is based on at least some of the features of the structure defined by a certain process of its manufacturing, and on the relation between a range of the wavelengths of incident radiation to be used for measurements and a pitch of the structure under measurements. The model is capable of determining theoretical data representative of photometric intensities of light components of different wavelengths specularly reflected from the structure and of calculating said at least one desired parameter of the structure.
Abstract: The melt of polyvinyl aromatic polymers comprising from 10 to 45 weight % of star branched polymer prepared using a combination of thermal and tetra functional peroxide initiation has an improved melt strength permitting better foam formation for extrusion foam blown with conventional blowing agents and inert gases including C02 and an improved tensile strength for oriented polystyrene (OPS) articles, e.g. blown film or extruded sheet.
Abstract: A finger nail cap having a casing of plastics material having a transparent upper side, a lower side shaped to fit onto a wearer's nail, and a cavity with a chemilunminescent chemical therebetween, and frangible means holding a catalyst in isolation in the cavity or a valve through one of the sides to allow for introduction of a catalyst to the chemical.

Abstract: An integrated surface emitting laser and modulator device is disclosed that includes a detector for monitoring the optical power output of the laser and another detector for monitoring an extinction ratio of the modulator. A cleave physically and electrically separates the laser from the modulator device. The device has a collimating lens disposed on a top surface.
