Abstract: In a method and system for storage and retrieval of print data, print data of a print job are transferred in blocks from a data source to at least two of a plurality of print servers connected with one another via a network. Control data regarding respective print data are transmitted to the print servers and are registered and stored in the network. Control data are registered by a central control module of the network and further processing of the print job is allocated by the central control module to an allocated print server so that the allocated print server receives the control data. Using the control data, the respectively allocated print server reads the print data in blocks from the respectively associated print server, processes and/or buffers them as needed, and forwards them to a processing device.
Abstract: In an electrographic printing device, an image generating system generates an electrical charge image on an image carrier element. The electronic charge image is made visible by a developer station via charged ink particles, the image being subsequently transferred onto a final image medium and fixed thereon. A speed control is provided which: continuously varies speed of the image carrier element from zero up to a limit speed; adapts charge intensity of the image carrier element to its speed; adapts an exposure intensity for exposure according to the image and in a deletion exposure of the image carrier element to its speed; and keeps a supply of toner to the image carrier element constant per area.

Abstract: A method and a device for accessing data wherein the data is sequentially stored as data objects. The data objects are identified by a control variable having consecutive integer values. The control variable and the memory address is determined of a first known data object and an estimate for the size of a data object is determined therefrom. The control variable of the requested data object is multiplied by the estimate, as a result whereof an initial value for a memory address of the requested data object is formed. Abstract: A transfer printing station is provided with a transfer roller for transfer of a toner image generated on an intermediate carrier onto at least one recording medium in a transfer printing region of the transfer printing station. Abstract: In a method or device for transport of liquid developer to an image carrier element for electrophoretic digital printing, a developer unit is arranged adjacent to the image carrier element, the developer unit directing a liquid developer having toner particles to the image carrier element, the toner particles crossing over to the image carrier element corresponding to previously-generated potential images. A raster unit is arranged adjacent to the developer unit. The raster unit transports the liquid developer to the developer unit by use of a raster. An electrical voltage is applied between the raster unit and the developer unit in order to exert a targeted field effect on the toner particles in a direction towards the developer unit. A chamber scraper having a dosing scraper is arranged adjacent to the raster unit and having liquid developer having the toner particles which are already charged. Abstract: An electrographic printer using a print web medium is provided with a web adjusting apparatus having a geared motor for adjusting the web position. A method and apparatus to compensate for backlash in the geared motor includes a sensor to detect an end position of rotation of the geared motor. Toner feed in the developer station is adjusted. A current consumption value is determined for toner particles. From the toner concentration measured with the sensor and from the toner consumption value, a toner concentration is calculated at a location in the developer station at which the toner is extracted. A calculated toner concentration at the toner extraction location is input as a control variable used to adjust toner feed so that the calculated toner concentration approaches a desired value.
