  • Patent number: 7210149
Abstract: Disclosed is a disc insertion preventive device comprising a housing having a disc slot made on its front side, a generally stopper and a swinging mechanism. The stopper comprises a flat plate and front and rear blocking pieces dependent from the opposite lateral edges of the flat plate. The stopper is pivotally fixed to the housing with the front blocking piece directed toward the disc slot of the housing. The swinging mechanism is responsive to absence of a disc in the housing for inclining the stopper with the rear blocking piece down and with the front blocking piece up, thus preventing advance of a disc beyond the descendent rear blocking piece, and is responsive to presence of a disc in the housing for inclining the stopper with the rear blocking piece up and with the front blocking piece down, thus preventing insertion of another disc from the disc slot.

Abstract: The invention provides a recording/reproducing device which records management data unifying front and back sides. A management data input/output processing section reads data from a front side of an inserted recording medium, a management data creation section creates management data on the front side and temporarily stores it in a memory section. After prompting the user to turn over the recording medium, the device checks the turnover of the disk, and reads data on the back side and creates management data. The management data creation section creates unified management data which unifies the management data on the double-side and the unified management data is wrote onto the back side of the recording medium. When writing is completed, the device prompts the user to turn over the recording medium and records, upon recognizing that it is the front side, the unified management data onto the front side.

  • Publication number: 20070064388
Abstract: The invention provides a display device designed to reliably discharge air heated to a high temperature to the outside. Heat from a heating part mounted on a power supply substrate is transmitted to air inside an enclosure and the air heated to a high temperature moves upward by means of natural convection and is discharged through exhaust holes in the upper surface of a back cabinet. As a result of this, outside air is taken in through intake holes in the lower surface of the back cabinet, the outside air pushes up the air inside the enclosure from below and discharges it, and it is possible to thereby prevent the air inside the enclosure from becoming hot and forcibly take in/exhaust air, eliminate the necessity for any air blowing fan and thereby achieve cost reduction.

Abstract: According to the present invention, means for preventing guide shafts from being extracted in an axial direction is configured by providing end face contact pieces formed by cutting and electing a chassis plate and contacting the end face contact pieces with end faces of the guide shafts. The guide shafts are held by hook-shaped shaft holding members formed by cutting and erecting the chassis plate, where the guide shafts are passed through cut-out portions of the shaft holding members. The end faces of adjusting screws threaded into screw holes from a lower surface of the chassis plate and protruding upward are broght in contact with the guide shafts. The adjusting screws prevent the guide shafts from being extracted through insertion openings, and adjust heights thereof. Thereby, holding and height adjustment of the guide shafts for the pickup unit are performed with a smaller number of parts, low cost, and ease.

Abstract: According to the present invention, an extending portion is integrally formed with a front end portion of a tray, and an upper edge frame is integrally formed with a main body frame above a tray opening thereof. When the tray is loaded in a unit casing, the extending portion and the upper edge frame overlap each other in a front-to-rear direction to form a double structure. The double structure provides both a function of closing the tray opening with substantially no gap and preventing broken disk pieces from being thrown out and a dustproof function. By providing such a simple and inexpensive structure which does not hinder the reduction of thickness, broken disk pieces are reliably prevented from being thrown out, and the dustproof function is provided when the tray is housed.
